An Active Coot Family
I caught this coot family bathing and preening out of the water. It was nice to catch this footage and you don't usually get to see their giant feet! The babies grow so fast and they are a well adapted species in this area, living in pretty much every pond around.

Warbler Babies!

My warbler friends managed to hatch this year this is a follow up from a few weeks ago. Yellow warblers are very prolific and they have a fairly brief incubation and nesting period, but I was able to get these shots of the momma warbler feeding her babies! Hopefully I will see them again next spring!

I caught this nice moment with some mallard ducklings at the local pond! Mallards really like seeking out and tamping down various lumps and bumps they find in ponds. Geese couples fighting over their nesting spots. The prime nesting spots are in high demand, the geese in this area will fight for days or even weeks to secure a spot for their nest. It's the most aggressive that I ever see them! Help me upgrade my gear: patreon.com/hobbyistbirding

A Warbler Builds A Nest

Last year, a yellow warbler built a nest close to a hiking trail. But it did not have any brood, and the nest was dismantled. It's cruel how Cannada geese bring their unbelievably huggably cute goslings in plain sight yet won't let us hug and squeeze them.

Geese come in, fertilize your lawn which makes it greener, which attracts more geese to mow your lawn while you sit back and have a cold beer

Beautiful! They look like seasoned parents. The older couples tend to have bigger hatches like that as well, assuming they didn't adopt some of them. 9 is not out of the ballpark for one hatch though. A family near me hatched 8.
