Thought I would try out the WHAM caller from bestfoxcall.co.uk and it really impressed me, this dog fox was spotted in the thermal around 400 yards heading away and the WHAM had him running in like a steam train to within 50 yards when the shot was taken.

Rifle is a tikka t1x, wildcat panther moderator, hawke endurance 30mm WA SF and a pard Nv007A, Hornady 17grain vmax ammunition used. A little pest control for local farmer.

Nice vid, always cool to see Someone hunt with a 17hmr, my dads friend got it for hunting nutria and i didnt hear from him for some time but i imagine it does great, such a good little round.
Thank you for commenting, your right it’s a brilliant little round for small game.
Its amazing how almost every single video on thermal never demonstrates proper detection range or atleast compares it against the manufacturers identification and detection range. Its always some shakey video looking at something 50 or 100m away.
It’s a real world view of what most users will actually be using the thermal Imager for. I can happily show you video’s of heat sources a mile away but what’s the point of that?

Hi Jock465, it’s a standard tikka T3x supervarmint stock that comes with adjustable comb.

Hi Eduardo, thank you for your comment. I have the same rifles in .22lr aswell and find the Tikka’s very reliable and very accurate. This 17hmr will group at .6moa at 100 yards.
