    The dremel ones are designed to be general use cases, says so right in the manual. Some of the smaller ones even come with reposition-able dividers.

      Yes they are but even most of those can be adapted to better serve the users specific needs if the user knows what their needs are and are willing to take the time to modify it to their own needs. Of course if it is serving you well there is no need to modify it.

    I can attest to the fact that we have spent untold HOURS playing the Sorry game that he made - I'm one of his siblings. We have had SOOOOOO MUCH FUN playing it & it has some wonderful memories attached to it from when we were able to play it with our Mom. She loved that game so much. I think part of it was she really enjoyed the game but also part of it was she enjoyed so many of us being able to play it together as family was so important to her & our Dad & is to us as well. Hate blow molded cases because the organization is poor and they take up too much space. Repurposing them by removing the plastic organization part and replacing it with foam that can be customized is useful. The key part of this is the foam because it replaces the structure that you removed. Well done.

      There's no letting more line out, these use a set length of large line that you can either get precut packs or rolls that you cut to length and replace them when they get worn.

    Great intensions but may I suggest you use standard electrical/relay terminology that most people understand and call relays as DPDT, SPDT, etc etc and even any switches as SPST, SPDT, DPDT, etc etc. Relay pin numbers like you noted are almost meaningless to most people.

    • @bigredbeard65
      @bigredbeard65 7 месяцев назад

      I would agree with you that in some circles that the nomenclature you use would be more accurate but I am a truck mechanic and I am mostly making these tutorials aimed at my fellow truck mechanics that need help understanding them and the numbers I am using are actually on the relays and in the circuit diagrams most mechanics use and certainly most of the young mechanics the spdt or dpdt and such they would not understand. I do appreciate your suggestion though.

      @w8bya 7 месяцев назад

      @@bigredbeard65 I see, did not realize your videos were geared towards a specific audience and of course no disrespect was intended. Maybe in the future use both and briefly explain what they mean. Another very common nomenclature you can use that I suspect everyone will understand is the use of N.O. or N.C. for normally open or normally closed for switch or relay contacts. I think that would go a long way to satisfy just about everyone.

      @@w8bya I understand that you are trying to give me helpful suggestions and I do appreciate them, if you watch all of my tutorials I have used normally open and normally closed in some of my tutorials and while I say they are mostly aimed at my fellow technicians or mechanics they are intended mostly to try to help people that don't know much about this sort of stuff start to be able to understand it better. From the picture you have I'm guessing that you are more into the true electronics, do you have a channel which you help people understand electronics? If so I would like to have a link so I can see some of your stuff.

    • @w8bya

      @@bigredbeard65 I have not watched your other videos, this one caught my interest and I wanted to watch it. If you have used N.O. & N.C. nomenclature in other videos this video would have been a perfect place to use them again. I do have a channel where I share different experiences with others some of them are pretty basic but I would not call them entry level. My channel is just "w8bya" and covers all kinds of my weird interests & topics. If I find a good entry level electronics channel I will drop you a link.

    • @bigredbeard65
      @bigredbeard65 10 месяцев назад

      I had an old weed whacker that was falling apart and decided to mount the spindle to my zero turn mower, after checking my junk pile for material I drilled holes in the deck, welded nuts to the underside of the deck, bolted a piece of metal to the spindle and then bolted that to my deck. I removed the nut from the top of the belt pulley, added another pulley I had and reinstalled the nut, an impact helps greatly for doing that. I bought the appropriate belt and put it on. After trying it, I then added an idler to help tension the belt. Sorry I really don't have a design or instructions on doing this. Most important thing is to do a lot of measuring.

      Mine only spins when the blades are engaged, if you wanted a truly separate control you'd have to mount a clutch and pulley system to the engine and then run belt(s) up to an idler pulley and then to the spindle, or you could get an electric motor and mount it to you spindle with a power cord running out to it with a switch mounted somewhere that was convenient for you.
