I used to wear this boot for years and I used to go through them every year to 1.5 years. And then I got a pair of handmade JK boots made in the USA and just the leather on the boot is almost double the thickness, if not double the thickness of a Red wing boot. You will buy a pair of Jk boots and they will last you for at least 10 years.

I had hoped the company was upgrading to Vibram or Goodyear soles but I received my replacement boots and the sole is TPU, Thermoplastic Polyurethane, which is still an inferior product. Too bad. You have the right idea!

idk .. I don';t like the soles that cobblers have on hand.. thats why I need to switch the sole. I buy a pair of cheap ones online and say switch the sole.. like the Sperry's went from boat shoes to boots with those new soles.. it lost the Sperry vibe...

I should have repaired my Blundstones the same way. Although, in addition to the sole, my big finger rubbed a hole in the sock above it. And this can no longer be cured.
