the mixing is a bit too heavy on the driving rhythm I'd say. I get the sensation of flying through an action-packed scene, but without actually going anywhere. The delicate melodies over it get lost in the heavy strings underlying it, instead of soaring above them or being supported by them.
Thank you for the comment. This is a (loopable) theme of an action-packed stage from a fangame, not a standalone song, so the sensation *is* right, though I am aware of the melodies not being heard properly, that is done on purpose. I also had to consider all the other sounds that would be in the game, such as (mostly) high-pitched SFX, but now that I'm writing this, I probably should've made 2 versions, one for the channel and the other for the game. Either way, I'll keep your comment in mind. Thank you again.
I enjoy that my impression aligned perfectly with the actual purpose of the piece. Goes to show how well you've implemented it. As background soundtrack to a scene this certainly fits a lot better.
