Feel I remember reading somewhere that these stages were created by Codemasters before the WRC announced the Central European Rally. What they did I think was just rename them. Lot easier to go back in and change the actual in-game stages. I think they had similar problems in Sweden. They had already created the stages but then WRC moved the IRL event to Umea so they just renamed the stages even though they were based on roads in the original location. Sometimes it isn't easy to just switch things. If you know the area I can see it being frustrating but as a non-local I still enjoy them.

Oh you are entirely correct but it's too late for this old dog. I grew up with racing games in the 80s when there were only digital inputs. It's amazing that my results are as good as they are.

It's weird that the overall standings are hidden away like that. Would be way better if they followed the stage times like they did in DR2.

No assists for me. They just slow you down. Could be the controller. Also, the C4 is infamous for its understeer which could counteract the oversteer.

Not the easiest to land

The cuts in Poland are the most extreme of any of the locations. I think the game devs realised after the fact but didn't have the resources to go back and put obstacles in the way. They kind of made up for it with the Scottish stages though. Loads of log piles and trees stumps there. Suspect they'll be more careful about this for the next game. In the meantime I view the cuts here as a way of doing something different in a game I'm already familiar with. They're kinda like different disciplines. I have clubs that don't allow cuts (so I don't cut) and others that do.

Just decided to start a playlist (called "Will It Fly?") of all the different cars available to see which of them can manage it. Not in any hurry though.

Oh this would be totally against the rules in JRC or any club that has a specified no cut rule. I've only just discovered this cut so haven't had a chance to optimise it yet.

This one is just asking for it. Fair bit of risk / reward here though.

It does get a workout in Argentina. At least it's exercise for me at the same time.

This is a club I set up for me and a friend to practice events. It's just the four long stages from each location and runs at roughly the same time.
