#chess These two games were a bit crazy. I didn't play them well but they were fun. I hope to not make the same mistakes in future games. I decided to make this video to be "guess the elo" like GothamChess does and we could see what chess.com thinks our ELO was. Jobava London Queen Trap vs French Defense on my way to 1000 ELO!
Просмотров 932 месяца назад
#chess I played the Jobava London against the French Defense on chess.com. It was a good game with the opponent falling for the queen trap. I think that the pawn move I make before their queen takes the pawn would be a red flag and they'd ask what in the world was that move was but they keep going for it and I keep taking their queen. @@LateNightBlunderWoah The comment teleported here I did it on the kaido video Hax
Interesting 🤔
I like your calm commentary a lot. Thank you man.
I really appreciate that. I try to make every video a little better than the last.
@LateNightBlunder Nice.
I didn't know the names of any openings when I was 900
I'm also trying to learn all of the best moves for the first 7 moves of the opening in the most common variations. I'm doing puzzles everyday and I hope to get to 2000 in a hurry. I want to limit my learning curve as much as possible.
You are already good at 900-1000 Elo range!
@@ShirouPlayss Thanks! I’ve been studying and learning new lessons.
Hey man
Hi!
Love from India 🇮🇳
nice games, keep up the good work :)
Yes! A new nice video again! I've been waiting for this.
great vid
I'm 15 and 1200 in rapid after 2 months of casual playing. I tried about every popular opening that's out there and played a lot of puzzles and actual games obviously. I think especially Blitz games are very good to improve intuition and tactics.
@@KurtKurmer That is crazy. I’ve been playing the game for about 2 years and not even a 1000. Keep going and you’ll be 2000 soon! I definitely need to manage time better and blitz should help teach me that
congrats brother, hi from brasil. if wanna make a chess friend and play some games, im 940 in rapid
@@italotavares1580 Thank you! Feel free to look me up on chess.com and add me. Who’s going to get to 1000 first? 🤔
man don't get frustrated just gotta practice and you will get better im right now 1150 elo about so just need to practice and find some openings, gambits, ect good luck on you'r yourney
@@hjgjkvhhkg7847 I think you are spot on! But I did spend the time not playing studying and doing puzzles. I hope to be up to 1150 soon!
Wow! What a very fantastic video, I'm gonna support you on your journey!
That really means a lot to me! I'm really excited to see what happens.
Stockfish is a 3500+ rated computer and no human can play like it. I see so many streamers worry themselves to death because they dont understand computer line. If you have the memory to remember all the winning lines that you study with an engine and apply them in otb tournaments, then you will soon become a gm and be on kramniks hit list. Alex Banzea teaches how to play against humans and create positions that will cause nervous breakdowns. Now that is exiting chess to me. Ginger gm Simon Williams also hates engines, yet plays very exciting games. Tal made unsound moves according to computer, yet it would take too much time for a human brain to refute, and won many brilliant games. Forget about engines until you learn the basics of chess and reach a rating of 1800 + and use sparingly for study only. Unfortunately you will encounter alot of cheaters, but that is a permanent curse of online chess and all you can do is play your best and move on. Great game and a classic Jobava win.
@@shahmatsimplex4144 Thank you for your advice! Right now I’m using stockfish to teach me the first few moves and get general ideas in the middle game. I still love watching others talk about the openings too. Something I did learn was that when you start the Jobava London and they start a king Indian or something similar…it’s actually best to play the 150 attack, which Alex Banzea actually plays in his personal games. I think it’s good to get into good habits early. I’m not going to be “solving” chess or figure out all of the lines but if I come across an early checkmate line I will memorize it. Mostly stockfish is going to teach me the opening and not make a gross mistake on move 4. If I can get a good position in the opening I should be able to carry it through on my own. I do stress people do lots of puzzles as well because stockfish can only teach us so much of the opening. I’m going to push myself this week to play many games and try to get above 1000 by next Friday. I do think I’m better than where I’m currently at but I haven’t been playing enough games. If I can get on Kramniks hit list I’d take it as a badge of honor! 🙂
Your rating sir?
@@DifferentOne-wc2ro it’s currently 855 but I think it’d go up much much more if I played more games. I might do a livestream soon to try and get those games played.
@@LateNightBlunder yeee I believe u will cross 1000 soon
@@DifferentOne-wc2ro I hope so. I've been studying a lot of black lines lately. What's your ELO?
@@LateNightBlunder I'm 2300 btw as an 855 rated player u shouldn't work too much on theory improve your thinking skills and playing skills theory is learned after 1500
@@DifferentOne-wc2ro Wow. That is an excellent rating. I'll focus a little more on my games and puzzles. Let me know if you would like to play me sometime. Could be fun and entertaining.
I knew I would get into time trouble. I saw so many moves that I should've made after the fact. These moves no way should've taken me that long. But I might go with 10+5 time controls next time to ensure I don't lose on time. I'm blundering my way through figuring this out but someday I'll learn. 😀
understandable, it's actually very hard to play and commentate simultaneously.
@@PeterChessPupil I just recorded a video last night and played at the same time. I don’t think it went very well for both my chess accuracy and commentary. You make it look too easy 🙂 I prefer doing the game review commentary because it gives me deeper study on the game and review where I could improve.
@LateNightBlunder you're too kind. I'm very much looking forward to checking out this video you sepak of.. hey i just had an idea Maybe one time we can figure out a way to have me commentate one of your online game live if that would be of interest to you
But yes it's very hard to play your best and try to explain everything definetly minus 100 elo imo
@@PeterChessPupil That does sound like a good idea. Entertaining and instructive! That could go hand-in-hand with coaching.
@LateNightBlunder yes you're right that could be a smooth gateway into it!
