    Fascinating, I've lived on tuckingmill for a decade and never knew the extent of the mining until I saw a 3d rendered imaging of the entire network below my feet , blows your mind that people go merrily about their business with no realisation of the scale . What's the best way after covid for a a member of Joe Public to access / guided explore of some of the workings, I gotta get below but safely

      It's 7 years old Ben, PRE C.E, It's the interest it's all now getting is the problem, I don't name unless privately owned now and only a couple of my videos are named. Having worked in the mining industry for years I know the current feeling re access, personally I don't want the responsibility of some 12 year old with a iphone torch dying because of a video they have watched on C.E. We have always had a no names policy on C.E but have turned a blind eye from time to time. Just far too much attention from Council, owners and kids. I haven't got any issues with you or your footage other than that.

    Music makes the very good video unwatchable I’m afraid. By all means keep it but turn it down to background level. A commentary explaining features of the mine would be helpful. Descriptions of lodes and various types of minerals and various shafts and where they go. At the moment we are just following blokes around a tunnel underground. Could be so much better. Thanks though

      The place is marked with arrows as with all mines and these will guide you, don't take the place lightly as there is a lot of bad ground, helmets lights etc required, make sure someone else knows where you are and let them know when your back so rescue can be arranged if you don't reappear.

    • @GaryParrott
      @GaryParrott 8 лет назад

      Creepy sound track etc is due to music creation, I write my own and it is another hobby so I include them in the films I make to get my music out and about. Little creepy addons is just to broaden my skills with editing and give a little fear factor lol. GoPro sound is a little poor and the majority of the sound fx have to be added after the film. Gravel trays, water, clanks etc created in the garden then added. It is not easy.

    i don"t understand why you use two ropes with a descender , x PCG now living in France i know that it is possible to use STR like SINGLE ROPE TECHNIQUE one ROPE so why the hand bloquer? and the extra weight of rope? also there is the need to install deviations to stop the rope rubbing the rock! but otherwise it brings back fond memories, thanks

    • @GaryParrott
      @GaryParrott 8 лет назад

      Safety line is there for that exact reason, if a rock was to fall whilst decending a shaft and cut through a line you still have a chance. SRT can be one rope but only one chance and I'd rather have 2 lives lol. We use carpet for rock rub points or try and rig to avoid contact.
