Woke up to a beautiful morning after a very good night sleep. Looking forward to breakfast which I read from reviews is really good at this resort. The views I got while eating my breakfast were awesome. Chaba Cabana resort is right beside Chaweng Beach!
I rented a car to drive around the island as the weather is very warm and the traffic around the island is always heavy and congested. It turned out to be a very good move! Watch on to see what I saw as I drove around! Enjoy! 💕💕

After a wonderful lunch at Route 41 Cowboy Town, I continued my journey towards Surat Thani where Donsak Pier is. From there I will board a Seatran Ferry to get to Koh Samui Island. Back in the 80s, there were no makan stalls at the beach. Except for the stalls I’m glad to see that there are no huge concrete development.

Merlin Inn should do something to revive the old looking hotel. The location on the hill is good enough, but the creepy feel especially during the night time.
I think so too. The location is good, it's near the seaside yet not too far from Mersing town.

Indeed, it was a very tranquil and nice riding route to this place! I was there last year enroute to Rompin and yes the gradient of the slope was quite steep but absolutely safe! I rode all the way in and actually spent quite some time with an absolutely adorable and friendly resident cat by the beach! Thanks once again for sharing..

Unclegoon any nice food in Benut? Passed by there twice recently but never stopped for makan thou.
I had a good meal at the restoran at Tampok Laut Recreational Park and also the restoran near my hotel during dinner time. I read that Benut is known for their nice Nasi Ambeng and Botok Udang, but I didn't manage to try it during my short stay there, just 1 night in Benut. But it does seem to me that nearby Pontian has more food choices, thou I see Benut has a lot of kampong style streetside stalls and cafes, might be worth a try.. hit or miss... this gives me a purpose for a revisit sometime soon. 😜
