The things Jesus calls His followers to may not make sense to us naturally, but they are supernaturally necessary. Think of it this way...forgiveness is the key to the prison door that sets YOU free. Restoration of relationship and forgiveness are not the same thing.

God's word is so timely and perfectly suited to meet us right where we are. Thank you for sharing how the Lord is speaking to you. I'm sorry to hear about your divorce.

@@codyking9628 I wish I could say that none applied LOL -- but the most compelling thing to me was the part about how we can steal from God ... particularly in "misuse of your life". When things get hard I want to go back to my pre-salvation days of just doing things to make me happy and please the flesh ... and this was an awesome reminder that I only have purpose when I use my life the way He intended and that He has sovreignty over my life :)
