Kindling Smiles Nonprofit Oganization
On December 20, 2013, my wife and I lost my 21 year old son Aaron (Haroon) Nevin Rehman to a very tragic motorcycle accident. Aaron was a very energetic young man focus on academics, sports and well on his way to become a doctor. On May 16th, 2016 we started a school, named "Shaheed Haroon Academy" in Peshawar, Pakistan for poor street children and orphans in memory of Aaron. Currently we have 66 children enrolled in our school, with aim to double the amount by the summer of 2017.
The money raised here will be used for teachers, security guards, and other school staff, books, school supplies, food, library books, uniforms, sweaters, jackets, beanies, shoes, socks, property rental, electricity, gas etc.

It is with profound joy and immense pride that we celebrate a remarkable achievement of our 10th graders, who have once again reached a significant milestone-successfully completing their 10th grade Biology course. This accomplishment marks the culmination of years of hard work and dedication, and they are now poised to embark on the next chapter of their academic journey, with college just around the corner in April. As they step forward, they carry with them not only the knowledge they have gained here at Shaheed Haroon Academy, but also the confidence and resilience to build upon it.
