If you dont see a problem, then your a part of the problem, one thing is enjoying a game with its flaws another thing is ignoring its flaws pretending they dont exist. Simple as that, boss design and variety in this game is trash and the lamp mechanic after the pilgrim area is used to make the game longer thats it, i dare you to find me a puzzle in umbral after the pilgrim area, Moving a platform back and then forth is not a puzzle. We all agree that the concept of the game is Great but the portrayal is embarassing at best. Since you said you are against woke stuff, you are doing the same thing ppl do when you point out how woke assassin's creed is. They ignore everything pretending to be right and you wrong. I can complain and use whatever I want, ghost of Tsushima is an amazing game full of respect for the Japanese community if they hated it so much they wouldn’t build statues of this game,perfect game and most importantly respectful of Japanese traditions thank you for the feedback but it wasn’t need it.

@MasterMarcos yes japan loves yasuke. People don't like assassin's creed, that could be why it's getting disliked lmao. But japan loves yasuke. There's a guilty gear character, nagoryuki, based on him that everyone loves. He's made appearances in games and media before and nobody cared or complained. So your issue is basically that they're using a black main character. Am I reading that right? Nevermind that japanese historians give credit to him actually being a retainer. It's just that ubisoft decided to use the black one. Is that your issue?

@@MasterMarcos The girl isn't a samurai, She's a Shinobi, A ninja. This is made abundantly clear both in the trailer and by Ubisoft. You say he doesn't represent the Japanese people which yes is correct but that's the whole point, They wanted to view the culture through the eyes of an outsider. Ghost of Tsushima has already treaded the ground you're talking about. It would have so many of the same story beats about honour and duty, bending then fully breaking the Samurai Code to save your people. It would get hate for being "A copy of GoT" more than it already is for the setting alone. Also if you think this then Surely Nioh and its representation of William Adams (and even Yasuke as well) should also be bad right?

No Williams he was an actual samurai and was honored by the people of Japan and greatly influenced Japanese culture, as a side character in this game he would be fine, however Yasuke has nothing on William Adam’s who led the naval combat and earned his ranks and had years of training in their military experience Yasuke was a slave for 15 months in unknown territory he was a fetish since they didn’t even know what a black dude was back then kind of like an exotic animal, mind you these were very racist times/ till today Japanese people feel very strongly about foreigners and they preserve their culture at all cost now Williams in the other hand was there years learned the culture improved their history and warfare equipment in other words he was a strong influence in Japan, now to represent samurai culture I don’t want black or white I want a Japanese individual Ghost of Tsushima did amazing and I love it, but there can be to asian games meant about ASIAN people not Africans why are you saying just because there’s 1 ghost of Tsushima there cannot be another Asian in another different game? This is not true. Ppl basically saying its fiction, everything can be allowed, are making huge fallacy. If the game is based in real history it has certain borders. By reasoning of ppl like you, if its fiction, we can make game about pirates from 17th century taking place in space in 28th century, because its fiction right? No, we cant. But alright, Ill bite. If ubi did what they always did - made real person, like Yasuke, be a NPC for side quests or story, noone would have problems with that. There is a reason they made their MCs fictional, so they could do anything with them. Here, for the first time, they are using a real person as MC, making him something he was not, and all it is for the sake of inclusivity - if you wanna claim it is not the sole reason then youre stupid. Inclusivity is ok in games that do not try to be historically accurate. They didnt make asians to fight against british in AC3, they didnt make Eskimos fight against Pharaoh with Bayek, african tribes helping Ezio in Rome etc...because it would be complete nonsense for a game franchise that has a deep emphasis on historical facts. We want the game to be as authentic to the culture depicted in game as possible, and given japanese culture, yes, Yasuke as samurai is incredibely offputting, if you want to argue against it, at least make it make sense.
