kev runs the new 5 cost ace from starter, he says can be situational but effective in the right turn when hitting early to mid game pressure

@@Px3_Tetsu How do you feel about the doffy and lucci match up? I've seen a lot of people say 9beard is too slow in this meta, esp against doffy

@ if u can comfortably drop wb without feeling threatened for game its good because being 7k base can be quite annoying for doffy to swing into u as he has to commit don to his characters and leader to swing for 7 and then he doesnt rlly have a way to deal with wb on board other than to swing into it as for lucci its 5c ace and marco gaming time 😎

7c wb is a really good addition if you do decide to run reducer and ko oden build, my playstyle is more for resource and don management -darcy

Oden is straight gas and I've changed up the build to see how a more control oriented KO package with Rayleigh and Newgate works out. What ratios are you currently running?

​@jwpppr was on 2 rayleigh, 3 newgate, but honestly like 3 of each, rayleigh is REALLY good, especially as a 2nd defensive option, since his power is until next turn, your can drop power of something with rayleigh and if you have a 5c izo on board you can reduce even more, so a minus -4k, or -5k on their turn, is really good into 9c zoro🤙 also running 2 doffy and dragon as my other top end, been tinkering around with 8c oden as cope tho, ngl has been feeling nice getting the 1k+ from leader ability with him out, can act like mini 9c Zoro to clutch games out, amd if he's kod you can bring out a 3c izo or okiku to rest their blocker then go face

@mirulwadap1706 we have profiles on all different styles of decks depending what colour and character leader you prefer 🙂 Or you can cruise on in to your local gaming shop in your location and ask for a starter deck to pick up there and then to jump straight in to play!

@mirulwadap1706 you may also find that at your local gaming shop a few players in the community that could help and sell you a already constructed deck for competitive play too

The other 2k's are more necessary and useful than reducer otama

I've been testing deep-sea king myself in vanilla mermail atlantean. I personally like using him as an extender when I draw into him by using the abyss keeper link 2 card. Just gives strong access to cards like fishborg harpooner and launcher when going for Trish or white aura synchro plays, bahamut for toad plays as well. Overall a very strong card and highly recommended using him in the deck. *note* I play 50 card mermails and it has yet to compromise consistency in the deck

You also cannot send coral anemone back with Abyss-Sting since it’s not Aqua, Sea Serpent, or Fish…

Hi! Thanks for commenting! So I’m not a huge fan of tidal mainly because there isn’t a great water dump (outside of dragon ice) We already have a lot of ways to discard, from rhine to even bodyguards (if our hands bad enough) The tidal engine (I would play 3:2 or 1:2 as you said above) also takes up too many slots considering the alternative (the icejade being able to be ran at 1 copy as a pseudo shifter card) That being said, there isn’t anything wrong with playing tidal, a 26 recurring beater which helps manipulate the gy while setting up for gaios. To finish, I have considered tidal and another member who tested with me is playing tidal in their list but I ultimately left it on the cutting room because it doesn’t help with the decks biggest weakness (mulch’s and shifter)

@@riverrandle2968 i been doing a good amount of testing for ycs niagara and i really the only way to counter mulcharmy is to main deck it and main deck crossout and ash blossom. there's not really a good way to play under shifter but if you play coelacanth you can still make 2 toad under shifter at least or 1 toad and 1 level 8 synchro

@@itsRabies yeah, so the issue with Coelacanth as an out to shifter is that toad has to go to be able to go to the GY to negate. Otherwise I’d be fully on board with it > icejade and playing like an additional pike. Yeah, it’s why ash is in the main and I’ve tried cross-out, my issue with crossout is that you can only get away with so much. While minstrel helps *alot* with other generic HT it isn’t guaranteed in the opening or to be optimal to search it *after* or before interraction, so you’d need to find room to play janky one of HT that if you open… well sucks to be you lol. Smaller but also relevant, having a spell in hand > a water can be crucial some times. One thing I have considered is aqua dolphin, bc it works as more copies of minstrel (/water discarder), a level 3 you can revive off posidra. The issue is that it’s abysmal going second mainly due to NS (like atleast minstrel can be used without giving up a critical resource, so you can discard an infantry b4 playing) I hope you have fun / do well!

@@riverrandle2968 didn't realize toad has to send to grave to negate fml there goes the main reason to play coelacanth (other than playing through droll) so I guess you can't really make a board under shifter

Tyvm for pointing out! The neptabyss didnt *fully* matter, as the line still goes through it just doesn’t give the flexibility of holding. But man… spending > a month testing and theorising to find out I couldn’t see one line of text hurts… it probably doesn’t *fully* matter bc levirtue can detach the bahamut as material to make it have 0 mat to overlay ontop of.

@@riverrandle2968 I know, that's why i usually test on edopro instead of duelingbook, so that if i want to do something and the game doesn't let me that tells me that there's something wrong. You're right about leviair, but this makes the combo more difficult i guess, so you have to decide how to use the few remaining spots in the extra deck

@@romanotkyeah I see the benefit of edopro. I usually just build irl with proxies, get an understanding of the deck and than test it and pick up things along the way b4 the deck comes out. Oh I meant the new rank 3 being able to detach any xyz material not just itself, like we already play it and the combo where rank 7 is part of the end board you can detach from the rank 5 instead of itself.
