I dont know if Uptie 5 is necessary, but I hope that PM implement team buff, just like they do to the N Corp ID (more damage to Mechanical Amalgam or some of them), unique benefits (buff , mechanics) for identities from the same faction

Qotd: I hope for there to never be an upt5 and instead balance patches for buffs and maybe even nerfs if the community isn't too shitty about it. If we do get upt5, it has to actually change and buff ids in interesting and meaningful ways to be remotely worth the amount of resources dumped into them. On the topic of things I want buffs for off the top of my head; Zwei gregor becoming a funnier ramp-up unit (I want my glorious king to be viable in the meta even if there are ids who really need buffs more than him) by making him get coin power based on every x amount of defense level up on all of his skills and make him generate more defense level up, maybe even generate extra defense level up based on damage done on his s2 and s3. Bl sinclair and outis are fairly easy, if you are lazy, just give them both slightly more coin power at base and gain more poise and poise count, then give them poise/poise count conditionals to increase their coin power or damage (or just give them something similar to swordplay of the homeland's buff/just give them the ability to give themselves swordplay of the homeland). Mariachi sinclair could inflict a lot of sinking count and potency on evade (like +1-2 count and +3-5 potency) and give him better rolls and sinking infliction, possibly even a coin power conditional (for example, if this unit evaded an attack last turn, coin power +2) and then give him an actually good speed range like 5-7. Sorry for the rant.

My theory is that the elder bloodfiend who owns the mansion currently is Vlad Dracul, and he might be either Dons dad or foster parent since in the book Don is considered royalty and we can also see a bunch of impaled people in her EGO art

i think it could be possible that the Bloodfiend working for a Finger could also be the ring given how much they focus on blood(at least based on the ids we got of them) for paint. so they must have some sort of suply chain for "human based paint". meaning there could be less of a conflict with the "needing blood to exist" thing

Ive seen a lot of mentions of Nosferatu and how it might not be the first bloodfiend, and Id like to add some thoughts. Nosferatu could very well represent more than just bloodfiends, notably, it could represent certain types of infectious diseases, namely rabies. The supposed weakness to water in the fear of water would then be literal rather than mystical - vampires in legend tend to have a mystical inability to cross moving water like streams, but not an explict FEAR of water. They probably fear it as one of their few ways of genuinely getting hurt but its a particular word choice to describe it as a fear. Rabies was occasionally refered to as the fear of water in the past, as attempting to swallow fluids while infected caused sever reactions. Its a very project moon like idea to link up vampires and rabies to create the abno. An interesting thing to note is that the bloodfiends dont seem to have this hydrophobia. Since there are elders in other districts, it is implied that there likely is a bloodfiend colony in u corp, which probably rules out the water weakness. There also is a significant lack of the standard vampire aesthetic traits so far, with the only one shown to have a resemblaance being distorted Elena - not the best person to be standard to base judgements on. Sorry for going on for a while, but the general idea is that theres enough of a difference between the general bloodfiends and nosferatu for me to somewhat disagree with the original bloodfiend idea. It could be the fear of infectious and corrupting diseases with the added flavoring given by the fact that the city has likely had actual vampires for a very long time, adding the bat theming due to the uncertainty and rarity about them.

I haven't seen people talk about this, but back during Lob corp's development days, Posttype donators would get a sneak peek on abnormality logs. Nosferatu, being a scrapped abno from lob, was one of them. Although since it's scrapped content, i would take it with a grain of salt and it shouldn't be considered canon, BUT alot of the information does line up with the new info on bloodfiends we have today. The sequence of events in the log can be summarized as follows: 1) The banquet started at Tube's (The host) mansion 2) Peridot the chef is the first to be infected 3) Everyone at the banquet begins to be infected 4) The ones who weren't infected seemed to have called specialized doctors, including Elena to study the disaease 5)Doctors slowly turn infected Personally, i think these can be presumed as the order of kindred generation line. So with that there are a couple things that can be theorized. 1) Tube is Nosferatu 2) Nosferatu was somehow already there and was gen 0 and the real progenitor 3) Nosferatu came after the fact since abnormalities are personified peoples fears and stuff Again, this is scrapped content, so it shouldn't be viewed as canon, but pm does have a history of reusing old ideas, so even if this isn't right beat by beat for the future it could be used as a rough baseline for now. I like to think of bloodfeinds as the vampires in hellsing ultimate. How ones will to will to live combined with the drinking of blood can turn them. Also the fact the bloodfeinds can make other lesser bloodfeinds that have to serve them like what castti did to Sasha

Quick correction for the Intervello thing, Intervello 4-2 is slightly correct however, the card saying Canto 6.5-2 primarily refers to the stages which is in TKT, if we are going for Warp train it would be 6.5-16 through 30, just a slight error but its fine

It may be worth noting the existence of another blood-fiend like abnormality; while not humanoid, Four-hundred Roses (the abnormality that gives the gift 'Carmilla') is described to be a giant blood-sucking rose that has large bright red spots on its head, similar to the red eyes of blood fiends. The abno event itself describes the roses insatiable lust to consume blood, no matter what. To add onto this, the novel that the rose is based on (also named 'Carmilla') is a story of a female vampire of the same name that changes her identity and moves around the world feeding on specific people. Vampires in the Novel also do not suffer from the same 'normal vampire weaknesses' just as bloodfiends do.

Abnormalities are more how people of the city or a human in general feel towards certain things. Sort of how the birds are meant to represent the Head and A B and C corp. So Nosferatu is more likely a sort of manifestation of the city's view of bloodfiends. Or a interpretation of the ACTUAL first bloodfiend. It's still something good to go off of.

i dont think nosferatu is the origin of bloodfiends abnormalities are born out of humanity's conscouis so noseferatu is probably just the abno copy version of humanity's fear of bloodfiends

isn't everything in LobCorp and so is in Ruina just a being drawn from primordial well based of the human mind? you know kinda like Persona, so Persona Loki and actual Loki is actually different, the same can be said with all abnormality? for example the express train to hell that teleport around is probably from W train, nail and hammer girl, is based of N corp, and queen of hatred and black swan battle field is probably in smoke war (based of the building and the color) now that i think about it, the magical girl series is probably just the people that get F from Ayin in the war, the servant of wrath is really smell like K corp story.

I noticed similarities between how World of Darkness does its vampires and how PM wants to do their bloodfiends (especially with being called Kindred)
