What a gorgeously composed song.

Dan Mason, the genuine artist of our time we don't deserve .... Our generation’s Peter Gabriel, Brian Eno, Sting and the modern & sleek Phil Collins personified in the 2020’s. The pure feelings expressed in music puts it puts top 40 artists to shame. If there was anything genuine about the world we live in today, Dan Mason’s music would be on the radio and not the trash we hear to now. But we don’t live in a genuine world, we live in a fake plastic molded society made from the template of an empty vessel. Dan’s music is so wholesome and genuine it evokes feelings and emotion not known to our generation. We don’t deserve such a wonderful talent or at the very least Dan deserves better. I remember when this musical genius took the courageous step to deviate away from vaporware and make something that was an expression of himself. The world is so much better for him taking that risk. If I could I would put Dan’s work at the highest heights to be enjoyed for all. God bless you Dan!

Love the inspiration for this song, as well as the use of the St. Francis Receiving the Stigmata image for the "cover" for Holy. I'm late to the art "scene" despite having humanities in uni. It took Waldemar Januszczak's excellent BBC series and ArtDeco's YT channel to make it "click" before our Italy trip this year. So it was great seeing some now familiar works as a visual underpinning to the song and prelude for a new album. Gotta love serendipity!

My middle daughter is seven and has “Welcome to your life” on repeat. This is the best Dan Mason project so far and I love them all. This album is a Masterpiece.

This is beautiful

I literally recorded this on a reel to reel ages ago, erased over the tape but it didn't erase all the way and between 2:39-2:55 is all that was left but it was super quiet. I didn't remember what the song was called and thought it was lost to time so then I transferred the recording to audacity but because it had been recorded at 15 ips and I was playing it on a machine that could only do 7 1/2 and 3 3/4 I had to speed it up in vegas than add +12 to the audio. After all that the recording was too quiet so I doubled the audio by piling 16 of the same track on top plus panning the audio to the right channel since the left channel was just floor noise I turned on my stereo, clicked the A button to select my speakers output and stuck my phone next to it and prayed that google would find it with the song search and after about 10 seconds into the song it found it! I was so happy! This all happened 08-21-24.
