How to Crack Action Figures: Master's of the Universe King Greyskull - a look inside AFD
This time I'm going to crack open a Master's of the Universe King Greyskull figure. I'm going to go over what I find inside and mention the differences I notice between this figure and a Marvel Legends figure. The basics of opening a figure are pretty simple even though are a lot of differenntechniques. I tried to do this whole crack without power tools but i had to break out the drill in the end. Knowing what's in side a figure can be helpful you're ever planning to do a custom or repair.

Boil & Pop Masters of the Universe Revelations King Greyskull AFD (Action Figures Disassembled)

In this video, I boil and pop a Master's of the Universe King Greyskull figure. This is the 1st time I've ever taken one of these apart and it was pretty straight forward. The hips coming off was a surprise bit it's easy to put the hips back on. I will post another video where I crack into the torso of this figure to see what it looks like inside. How to take apart a Marvel Legends action figure with a hair dryer

In my other videos I use hot water to soften actio. figures and take them apart. In the comment section a lot of people have asked if a hair dryer can be used to take a figure apart. The answer is yes, you can definitely use a hair dryer to disassemble a figure. if you use a hair dryer to take an action apart you have the benefit of being able to pinpoint where you want to heat. Free Action Figures from Target

Don't mind the background noise. I'm just dropping some hints on ways to save on your action figure collecting. The Big Red Circle is a great place to save some green. I do a lot of shopping at Target and using the Target Circle app is a great way to save and get rewarded. I don't know of any other store that offers such a great rewards program. It's great way to save on your retail therapy.
Storing my 1/6 action figures
Просмотров 5572 года назад
Since I no longer have the space I used to I'm putting my 1/6 action figures away. I'm storing them in a way that will make them pretty easy to get to if I need one. I'm choosing to go with my figures standing just because I don't want to have any pressure from figures piled one on top of the other. For now this will work for me. I'd love to hear how you store your figures so please like this v...

Action Figures Disassembled: McFarlane Batman This is the first time I've ever taken apart a McFarlane DC Multiverse figure. It's pretty much what I expected except for the design of the crotch area and leg connections. I was pleasantly surprised while taking this figure apart. it wasn't a hard figure to take apart at all. I want to do more McFarlane figures in the future and get my hands on so...

First I would like to apologize fo this video only being in 720. I didn't realize when I was shooting it that it wasn't even in 1080p. Despite that fact I'm sure that you will be able to see everything going on in the video. In this video I will be using the boil and pop method to disassemble a Marvel Legends Wolverine figure from the love triangle 3 pack. I prefer this method when it comes to ...

It's the belt easy to take off?
@migueltupayachi8238 I've never tried. You would have to take apart the torso or you would have to heat it a d slide it down. To slide it you have to go over hit butt and the top of his thighs.
Great Video! Some people don’t realize he has a Blue and Yellow X-Men uniform 😂
Can't tell, is that a pinless action figure? If it's a pinned action figure, we know how to do this all day long. It's how to take apart pinless figures that's the issue. Can't figure that out yet.
@disbegroe1 neither can I. It's a level of sorcery I have not attained.
Would've been nice had your hands not been in the way of what you're trying to show people. We can't see whay you're doing
Hi fantastic figure we’re fid you find the body and get the hands and feet?
@ajsgaming7220 you can find it on ebay its about $80. All of the parts are from the SS Superman
Does the hair glued to the head? will the hot water worked on the hair too, or i have to use force to take off the hair after dipping the head in the hot water? i recently just got a thunderpunch He-Man but his hair is too placed way back so his forehead is wide. I want to correct it by making the hair more to the front. Closer to He-Man's eyebrows.
Aye bro i got a question. Is it possible to put mezco boots on a marvel legend?
@kyoufuwooshieteyarou7206 depends on the figures. A lot of mezco figures have different pegs. You could adjust the pegs to make them fit. There's no guarantee on peg compatability. Worst case scenario there is always glue. You could possibly drill a hole into the lower thigh of a ML figure and insert the knee from a Mezco figure. But that may not be a great fit. You could cut the shins and glue the figures together there. Then you'd have to putty and paint. There's not a lot of space in that area so it could get dicey.
I really enjoy this review, I am looking to get the biggest body. I was today years old when I learned about the m35 body’s. EBay is great🥰
@kenyattaassaddeea7598 just be careful and don't get scammed. I found a body from China for $65. I watched it get shipped and delivered to Texas. I had to file a claim to get my money back. A new body should run around $80.
1/6 Red Batman Shoes Boots Model Props For 12inch Male Action Figure Body Toys
Great vid. I’ve been wondering how the Masterverse figures were constructed. Really want to improve the ab crunch. Never have understood why companies make figures that can’t crunch? Like Wtf😄. I think with that poa improved, their articulation would be pretty great
OMG THIS WAS A LIFE SAVER. I wanted to know how to take Wolvies boots off so I can paint them and use them on a different figure. This was super easy so now I can't wait to do this myself.
Captain America- “Action Figures… Assemble!”
Disasemble shf is so hard, especially figure like bodychan
Can someone inform me about the maintenance? I kept the model in my living room and it's totally ventilated, I was used to change poses everyday, but I think the silicone became dry and started to break, is that normal and restorable?
Been collecting for like 10+ years and I still need videos like this
Thank u for this vid, it helped me with getting the boots out to fix them cuz the fin were bent. But i was wondering if u can pull the whole leg out of the hip joint?
@@leviettri3576 I try not to because the plastic is usually really hard. I don't know if they've changed the plastic to be softer. I try to avoid popping those off.
@@609collector i just want to know if it is possible to pullout the whole leg bcuz i want to kit bash my wolverine with smth else
Wish they'd made Masterverse as easily modular as they did Origins. :P But yeah, I came looking for this because I wanted to see if it's possible to switch out the torso on one figure and swap with another. The answer appears to be... yes? With some time, effort and right tools? :P
@@Carn_Is_Done That's why I do it
@@609collector Yeah, I just bought a second New Eternia Thunder Punch He-Man because I want to use the bigger chest (first introduced on Revolution Battle Armor He-Man) to bulk up the 1987 movie Dolph Lundgren He-Man figure and so I need to switch the waists. The new bigger chest and abs have a bit of a different shape inside where you prised that KG apart so not sure how it's gonna go but I'mma try. :)
@@609collector ok i can tell you that at some point Mattel changed that waist joint and the two figures I wanted to swap torsos, are incompatible and my attempt to try and make it fit resulted in wrecking both. Wheeee... Oh well, the movie He-Man is still cheap so i can replace that but i wanted him to have the new buff torso. He doesn't look bulky enough to be Dolph (even with the RamenToys head I got for him). Have a nice day!
@Carnivius_Prime that's rough. It happens sometimes. Even with older Marvel Legends which I'm most familiar with it was a crap chute. I'm not too familiar with this line but sometimes swapping limbs may be the best option
@@609collector Lil update. I managed to salvage my custom. The lower back piece still a lil fudged (and it's a total mess inside) but it's not too noticable and the 1987 movie harness wraps around in a way that keeps things together nicely too and the articulation of the torso and waist has remained mostly intact. :P The figure's not perfect but it works well enough that I don't need even the replacement 1987 movie figure I ordered but will use for comparison shots anyways. :) Thanks for the video assistance and motivation. Have a good day. :)
Thanks for this video!
@@princenamor1939 glad you enjoyed it
Thanks a lot man, the video was very insightful, i just done the dremel mod on my Mezco Wolverine, my biggest worry was sewing, but after seen your video now it looks like brand new
@venomenoide thanks, hopefully in the near future I can get back to making videos. I've just been incredibly busy with work.
How hot?
@ALEX_TROY724 if the water is steaming hot it'll work. Doesn't have to be boiling. It should be hot enough that you don't want to take a bath in it.

I dont know if your still active or not but would the boil and pop method work on the mezco tmnt figs?
Awesome and simple visual explanation! Thank you so much for your service sire 🫡
I just needed the boots. Whelp looks like im gonma be taking the whole calf if it fits on the body i plan on using
Good video. You took apart everything except the part I wanted to see. The hip. My figure fell off the balcony of a five story building, and while it landed on bushes, the leg snapped off from the hip. Its not a part that can be disassembled, but it might be possible to build a new pin to connect the upper thigh piece to the hip joint. But if it is possible to get the hip piece from NECA then I will probably be able to make the switch from watching your video. Thanks.
@@paulmitchell1099 good luck. If not neca I'm sure you can find the part somewhere
I have a Christopher Reeves with 😂 a M35 body. I'd like to know where to get my superman suit?
@davidponcedeleon1110 you'll have to find a seller that makes suits. Facebook is where I've found a lot of great customizers. Ebay may have some as well but that's sketchy. Instagram will probably have a lot as well. I got the dark blue on Facebook and it's great. The boots aren't the best but that's my only complaint. The seller makes a lot of stuff even some custom headsculpts.
sucky cam angle
There are many more videos on the channel
Avengers, Disassemble!
Super helpful! The thigh rotation on my Snout Spout is kinda stuck, and I don't wanna end up twisting the mushroom bit off.
Can the shoulder be disassembled?
You can pull the shoulder out of the butterfly joint. The butterfly joint doesn't come out very easily. If you do get it out it may not go back in.
@@609collector i just did...it is VERY DIFFICULT to put back in because the joint is down side of the inner peck and it does not fit in there easy...with a lot of effort i put it back in ..but i will try not to engage with it any time soon...
Very happy to see this video!! Thanks for actually putting figures on the bikes. Will definitely get 1/10 for my 6in figures.
i know this is an older video but thank you so damn much you just helped me make the perfect batman
Glad I could help. Hopefully I can start making videos again soon I've just been super busy since I moved from GA to NJ. i got this blue deadpool and I'm considoring customizing it into a Silver Surfer. This video is helpful in letting me know how to take it apart for painting.
You must be rich to take apart a $100+ figure just for kicks?
Not for kicks but for educational purposes. I wanted to customize the figure and I wanted to share what I found. I was also able to sell the pieces to recoup the losses. I started selling mezco parts before most other people. It's how I was able to get back my money for some of the figures that had gone down in price. Suicide Squad Harley quinn was only selling for about $65 when I wanted to sell her. The parts however sold for over $120 when I took her apart. I sold the heads, body, clothes, weapons, accessories all separately and made my money back. As far as Batman is concerned there were a lot of valuable pieces there too. How would you replace a broken mezco elbow or knee joint? Some one would have to take one apart and be willing to sell the piece you need. Also I'm pretty sure I needed a replacement joint for one of my of my Deadpool figures.
Hey, man! Do you have an idea how to disassemble the torso of this figure? I badly wanna disassemble the torso of my figure so that I can properly repaint the red and white stripes of his lower torso
I have other videos where I crack figures open. You can check them out
@@609collector Thanks man! I appreciate that
How can you separate that chest articulation?
Most people crack the torso apart because it's 2 pieces of hard plastic glues together. There's a way to do it without cracking but I've only seen online once and I haven't tried it myself.
Came for the tutorial, stayed for the marvelous solo at 1:45
If I'm not entirely mistaken the pinless joints are manufactured by a multi-casting process versus single casting and them assembly with pins. The joint gets put into another mould and then the appendage gets cast over the joint. Since it's two different materials they don't bond so it allows the joint to move freely, the only way to separate them (in my experience) is to use a razor blade and carefully slice the interior peg close to the edge - I suppose once your mods/painting is finished you could just super glue that cut piece back.
That's diabolical. Super glue wouldn't be the most reliable but I'm sure with a tiny screw and a pinhole driller you make the superglue work and a form or reinforcement. Thanks for the comment I'll keep it in mind.
Have you ever tried removing the ankle joints and/or shoulder joints (perhaps to install different color joints for custom purposes)?
Yeah, the torso swap is what i need to know lol
Thanks for this man. This is the starting point for me to start modding these great figures with better paint apps.
WHen I break the pegs like that, I drill them out ( the hand drill bit holder that you turn with your wrist) , and then try to glue pegs in one side, then join them to the other. If you dont have left over plastic runners from a model kit or something then you can use toothpicks or I guess try to cut the teeth on a plastic fork down ( or plastic toothpicks if they are close in diameter). I guess if youre going to do it a lot, but styrene rods that are that diameter and cut them for length.
On my classified the buttefly joints came out, but the pegs for the shoulder are stuck. lol. Im gogin to have to heat it again and remove teh shoulders to put the butter fly joints back in again.
Your wife was totally right by the way I would paint that black and on the cheek
