I'm a Canadian scientist who loves writing stories and making music as a hobby. My stories encompass many genres, and I particularly enjoy metal, folk, and post-rock music.

My hobbies have taken many forms over the years, including recording my own music (I have 12 years of music experience between piano, violin, and guitar), and writing (unpublished) novels, short stories, and poetry. Recently I have enjoyed creating hybrid concept albums where I write the story and lyrics of the album and use AI (Udio) to create the music, with some minor tweaking post-creation in a DAW. This channel is a place for me to share the hybrid music I create with others who may enjoy the same kinds of music I do.

I understand that musicians and non-musicians alike have mixed opinions about AI in art and music. I am of the opinion that in skilled hands AI can be a tool to enhance creativity, though I certainly recognize the threats it poses to art and society in general.
