Love the use of the Mustang as it's the ultimate shopping cart.
Very much interested and I'm following all the way from Papua New Guinea 🇵🇬 ❤😊✌️👍🫡
Weird taking race track coaching from JFK but I’ll take it :)
I was a real F1 fan until Hamilton
I wish there were tracks near me… my mini cooper and rwd manual ranger be suffering on these midwestern straight roads
Watching this to improve my knowledge on racing games.
Me too brother
Same
very useful!🤭
Very helpful 🎉
Dude I was in my E46 seen a guy on a motorcycle doing burnouts, I'm turning left into a very narrow street where he is but in the opposite lane, so I decided I'm going to join in on all the fun I go to drift the corner from a complete stop manage to drift the corner go in between the motorcycle to my left and a parked car to my right mean while my dad is looking at me scared shitless cause he thought I was going to crash I straightened out and left happy... Now yesterday I did the same thing but oversteered and almost went flying into a parked car on the curb to the right, I took my foot off the gas which I know now is stupid, cause then my whole car swung to the right into the oncoming lane of traffic almost hitting another BMW driving then finally corrected myself... I felt so good damn stupid and now I think back of how lucky I was I didn't lose control n hit that motorcycle the last time I pulled that crap... I can only say at least I didn't hurt anyone or hit any vehicles, and I learned my lesson and won't pull these stupid stunts on the streets till I'm at least way more experienced... I don't really like spinning my tires and drifting all the time but I do get that urge when I'm in a big empty lot to do sum sick ass pulls n burnouts I love cars and I love the sound of the engine, the tires smokin, and just the driving physics alone but after that happened I felt like I didn't even deserve my car, my car is at least 22 years old and still beautiful as hell and I would of smashed my front end cause my stupidity I definitely learned how easy it is to lose control
This is my take. Slow corners (where you are likely downshifting) or corners followed by longer straights (hairpins) would be likely late apex for most cars. Constant speed corners (where you maintaining speed as you are cornering but minimal to no braking involved) would either be early apex or Ideal line. An example of this would be a chicane where often times you are trying to maintain speed to power through. Exceptions to these would be if you are late apexing through a high speed corner so that you can be positioned better on the right side of the track for the next corner. Late apex encourage trail braking and late braking. Therefore I don't necessary subscribe to the idea to label it as slow in/fast out technique, because technically you are going in the corner fast , and also resulting in higher top speed. Double apex corner is a combo of Early apex on entry, then follow up with Late apex at exit.
Um, what’s up with the Porsche turn in spot…..dude coasted around that curve. Not impressed at all
Porsche is a unique one due to the engine placement (does depend on the model but if I'm not misstaken this one is behind the rear axel) This makes it turn on the dime the major upset in this car is the front mounted fuel tank that can cause instability over longer races because the car balance constantly shifts
Wow! Fast and easy
The oversteer segment with the the slow mo car in the background was a really cool shot, well done. The normal speed play through right at the start of the segment makes it seem like they were part of the same shot, caught me off guard when it came back through in slow motion glory.
This is gold! Can you can coach me please??
Alright guys here’s how you drive, get some coaching
Beautifully demonstrated....
matt damon from wish
Watching this the night before my EVOC test tomorrow. 😅
Can't you just brake when you understeer?
Awesome
I've learnt a lot already just by watching this video.
Excellent advice!! Most of people they can´t even drive into the streets and suddenly they try to be fast on a racetrack or even worse on a highway... The real good driver respects the proper environment to use his/her car in the proper conditions, this is not to race on a highway and doing the homework before hitting the track. BR
Awsome 🎉
2023, and this video is still so relevant,, thank you
I❤ur channel
I guess I kinda just got this and thought it was common sense befor anyone ever tried to teach me it when I first started playing racing games
this video is so freaking high quality. the demonstrations, explanations, graphics, editing, all of it is quick and concise. compressing a video that could take 30 mins+ into just under 3 is amazing. love it
When should I pull the emergency break😂
1:51 cool effect
I love oversteering in skyline blvd on portland oregon. Took a couple cars to wreck to learn this properly tho lmao
Getting kicked in the balls is funnier than Richard Hammond
Because your going too fast. Turning requires slowing down
Understeer is likely more common because most street legal cars are FWD. Sliding out on a roundabout in the wet thanks to understeer can be a little scary the first couple of times, but it's fun once you know how to correct it. I'd recommend NOT applying the brakes during understeer because you've got no traction anyway and they won't do much. Just take your foot off the throttle and let the engine do the braking if you're at a low enough speed. I have actually almost span out when understeering too because for whatever reason, my front end decided to keep going and my rear tyres still had traction. I've even accidentally oversteered a Nissan Cabstar when leaving the yard at an old job and heading onto a main road. I didn't even realise that it was RWD at the time and the ground was slightly wet. Luckily for me it was only a small slide and needed hardly any correction.
What is the best car for taking corners without apex?
Damn i saw that tree! Oversteer is indeed better.
Im gonna go try this in my nissan cube cubed now 😊
thank you guys!! now im ready to go race!! =)
Now I need to see comedy sketch where someone has a heart attack in a restaurant. And when the waiter yells out if anybody can do CPR. Someone yells yes, and then runs outside to go power drifting in the parking lot.
Under Steering is Safe 'Won't Kill U' Aftr Turning Accelerate. Not while Turning Turning In = Braking Mid Corner = Steering Turning Out = Accelerate Reduce Steering Lock = Increase Steering Response
Interesant
Understeer because the ass end is pushing the front end . More nose, weight, possibly caster adjustment.
Excellent information with visuals 👏👏👏👏👏🍻
Love your vids
Thanks Jack and Andy what a inspiration I'm a driver gave up my dream to raise 5 kids I'm 58 now and want to start auto crossing and track days of course money is always the problem building a 92 Camaro I ll never give up I loved watching you that's why I'm building a Camaro Thanks if you could give me any tips it would be awesome Jerry

BeamMP Sim Racing gang
Every car review where they put my (future or current) baby on the track talks about TC and how much or whether you can turn it off, but they literally never explain why they'd want to or why someone might not want to. Not only did this finally explain it for me, but also explained why (and when) I should absolutely be leaving it on. Thank you.
Awesome video thanks guys!
I wonder if AWD vehicle would need to enter an Apex a bit early than RWD car?
There are so many people not knowing how to take corners. They overtake me on straight when I am on cruise control and when a corner comes they brake and I overtake them without even braking.
Hahaha i wanted to make this exact comment! It happens way to often when someone thinks they're fast on the road because they can overtake in a straight line but as soon as i get to a roundabout or tight corner i pass them or catch up to them at very least
