We left Tam Coc to visit the Unesco World Heritage Site of Halong Bay (technically, we spent most of the time at Lan Ha Bay, the southern part of the archipelago). We stayed in an apartment in Cat Ba, went on a 1-day cruise, and had an amazing day. From early morning until sunset, we had much fun kayaking, swimming, exploring, and enjoying the views.

We left Hoî An behind us and moved to the next city: Tam Cốc. Early in the morning, we left to explore the surroundings, had breakfast, and went to the day's first stop: Bich Dong Pagoda. In the afternoon it was time for the second stop: Hang Mua Cave, a beautiful place showing how amazing the nature of Vietnam is, a perfect place to propose. And that's what Julian did. Happy end?

It is seems Tulamben is known for SCUBA diving. Which would be better for two non-divers Tulamben or Ubud?
It totally depends on what you want to do. The biggest thing to do in North East Bali is diving and freediving, you can also do your open water certificate for a really good price. Apart from the underwater world, you can come here and watch some temples like Tirta Ganga, Royal Water Palace, and Lempuyang temple or you go to the Savanna Tianyar, watch the sunset at Lahangan Sweet, or just enjoy the landscape around Balis Biggest Vulcano. Ubud is more central and offers you easier access to most places. Apart from that it is also surrounded by beautiful rice fields uncountable waterfalls, rich culture, and temples but it's also very crowded. Choose for yourself what suits you the best, we love to have a mix of both. We also working on a video about the best thing to do in North Bali, maybe it will help you to decide 😉
