yo! i just copped this lick from your cliffin dover the years vid lol. altho here youre playing that group of 4 on the D and A strings 2+2 instead of 3+1 from 2023 if im not mistaken. but this way felt better for me. anyway, sounds fkn gnarly man. really inspiring.

my instinct for both hands would be economy, but there's no denying the percussiveness of alternate.
alternate, its not as smooth sounding, but because of that there’s this punch to it that economy lacks

Joe is amazing- I play blues myself, it's not easy. I'm not saying that-0 and ppl like Joe clearly have a talent most do not. That said- imo, for me- it's much easier than coming up with stuff like Andy Summers or Louie Shelton did- those upbeat, really tasteful, pop/jazz/funk/R&B oriented licks. That stuff is just foreign to me I guess, how they come up with it, I will never understand. This stuff- I maybe can't play as well as Joe, but I understand it. When I play it just sounds like blues- even when I don't want it to. Wth am I talking to? I'm just rambling away to no one- which is coincidentally exactly who cares, no one.
