Exploring Death Valley in One Day
Caminantes! Please enjoy this recap of our adventure in the "Valley of Death." We only had a day to cram in what hikes we could, and it was a blast to race against time. Below are the 7 things we got to do:
1. Sunrise at Zabriskie Point
2. Hike the Golden Canyon, which includes the Red Cathedral and Manly Beacon
3. Gower Gulch
4. Badwater Basin
5. Natural Bridge
6. Artists Drive, which includes Artists Palette
7. Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes
Please note that I'm pretty late to uploading this: I visited DV in February, and even then it was rather hot. So please consider going in the cooler months, as I can't imagine what it's like in summer. As always, thanks for watching!

Hike to Santa Paula Punch Bowls
Просмотров 3,2 тыс.3 года назад
Caminantes, my apologies for taking a while to post a new video, but here we are! Welcome to the Santa Paula Punch Bowls, an exciting adventure tucked away in Ventura County. My friends Peter and Luis join me on this hike full of river crossings and rock scrambling (or bouldering, which I believe is the improper use of the word for what we did). Our journey was 9.5 miles round trip, and our tot...
Hike to Potato Mountain - Claremont, CA
Просмотров 2,1 тыс.3 года назад
You could say it's a tradition of Claremont to take any spare spuds to Potato Mountain. At 9 miles round trip with an elevation gain of 1,968 ft, this trail will get your glutes and calves working. There are two ways to get to "Starch Kingdom," so please note that this video starts at the Claremont Wilderness Trail (also known simply as the Loop). Sometimes there will be more potatoes, sometime...
Hike to the Bridge to Nowhere - Azusa, CA
Просмотров 6 тыс.3 года назад
Welcome Caminantes to the first video of 2021! Located north of Azusa, this hike is truly a unique and exciting adventure. The trail is a moderate 10-11 miles round trip, and can take anywhere between 5-7 hours, depending on your pace. You'll follow the East Fork Trail along the San Gabriel river, and try as you might, there's no escaping getting wet a few times. I would recommend this hike for...
Hike to Echo Mountain - Altadena, CA
Просмотров 2,1 тыс.3 года назад
The Sam Merrill Trail to Echo Mountain is perfect for those seeking a good workout with beautiful scenery. It's a 2.5 mile uphill journey to the White City Ruins, where you'll find interesting historical remains. There is a lot to explore here! Address and Parking: "Sam Merrill Trail, Altadena, CA 91001." You can find free street parking along Lake Ave and E Loma Alta Dr. Just make sure to read...
Schabarum Skyline Trail - Walnut, CA
Просмотров 2,1 тыс.4 года назад
*Please excuse the YT compression on the time lapse :) * This moderate trail offers wonderful views of the San Gabriel mountains. Here's a quick timelapse of the route I like to take. I find it best to start on the corner of Country Hollow Dr and Arbor Ridge Dr, as this part has the best views. The complete trail is a loop, starting on Amar Road, going up to Country Hollow, through the trail an...

Here are the highlights of our trip. 0:00:21 - Lower Geyser Basin 0:00:58 - Midway Geyser Basin, including Grand Prismatic Spring overlook 0:01:25 - Old Faithful Geyser 0:01:45 - Bison 0:02:19 - Lower and Upper Falls overlooks 0:03:00 - Lamar Valley 0:03:40 - M...
Hike to Etiwanda Falls - Rancho Cucamonga, CA
Просмотров 6 тыс.4 года назад
The first words of the video are "Good morning, caminantes." In Spanish, caminante is directly translated to walker, but can also mean hiker or wanderer :) My parents and I explored the Etiwanda Preserve in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. After a few previous attempts, we finally found the path to the Etiwanda Falls. The trail itself is simple and good for a weekend morning, but as you can see, there is ...
Pinecrest Lake

A short recap of my trip to Pinecrest Lake, CA, located in Stanislaus National Forest. I always think of nature as intense and majestic, so I decided to make this video intense, dramatic, and hopefully majestic. If you had walked 10 more minutes past that point you turned around you would have made it to the huge natural rock slide down the canyon. I highly recommend. I'll show you if you'd like.

We just discovered this trail, but we weren't really sure where to go. At the beginning, we went down the hill just to the right of the trail you took...next to the black fence. Do you know where that trail leads to?

    • @albertoguadarrama8651
      @albertoguadarrama8651 3 года назад

I'm actually not sure. I've seen some people go that way but I've never tried it myself. Looking it up on Google maps, the trail seems to take you behind the houses and ends on Grand Ave. Parts of it look unaccessible, but I can't speak to the conditions of that path. Only way one to find out I suppose!

The bench was where the two people are at 0:53 (two little figures on the hill behind the sign). I say was because it seems to come and go, or maybe it was just a one time thing. I was here last week and the bench was gone
