Not sure why they changed the old formula - the new one doesn’t give me longevity-

I loved this gel as my first wash day with a leave in but then the next day my hair ended up SO dry. Then I tried layering it over a leave in and curling cream and my hair just ended up frizzy with no hold. Such a confusing product for me. I have better results with eco styler on top of a leave in.

Was it worth it to go for both days or if you go early you can do it all in 1 day. Trying to decide for next year. Not sure if the sales are the same for both days

It took me 3 months (3 trys) to get a curlbox subscription && I was so excited to get the subscription when I finally got it. Then I never realized I could buy the Curl boxes that were non subscription and furthermore I didnt realize that the non subscription boxes were the ones that I prefer. But like you said I do enjoy getting a Box every month in the mail and I have only received 2 boxes so far and plan on canceling my subscription as well in the near future because again like you said I only use maybe 2 to 3 products if that out of every Box but I will be purchasing the non subscription boxes from time to time.

I would try using the curl food and leave in without the serum. When I used just the curl food and leave in for a twist out I didn't have a lot of frizz but when I used the oil I did get a decent amount. I love how your curls came out 😍 and I'm definitely gonna try this as a wash and go 😁!

I really appreciated your post. I was infuriated by the people who made it their business to try and scold/lecture you for sharing (I commented a lot lol). I changed my hair (I have Alopecia so I wear wigs) over the Thanksgiving Holiday and my boss told me she liked my hair and it looked more "polished". I held my tongue as I looked at her split ends. Whereas my Account Manager saw me and just said "I really love your hair!" Big difference in the delivery and how they were received! Especially since this was after I read your post. One of my friend's uncles said it best "I don't see why what's on me bothers you!"

Thanks for sharing this message Mal! It's very true. Whether it's curly or in locs, people of color are always faced with trying to decide whether they should wear their hair in its natural state or make adjustments so that it can be deemed "acceptable in the workplace". Kudos to going viral for the right reasons.

I know you didn't court this controversy but you handled it beautifully. I had this conversation with myself 20 years ago about whether it was work appropriate to wear braids in my work environment. This isn't new for women of color and we def haven't gotten past societal norms. Great job Mal!!!
