    Do not use this battery rack as you have it installed! Power it off, losen the screws on the batteries and bus bars, and buy a torque screwdriver and/or torque wrench and torque them to the correct values, and then 24 hours later go back and torque them again (with the power off).

      Same with your PV disconnects if you have them.

    • @hacked2123

      And make sure that all your wire connectors are directly touching the bus bars/connection face, with no washers/locknut washers in between them and the face; those will be behind the O-ring and the screw/bolt head).

    @michaelharmon5991- It's easy to sit there and play Monday morning quarterback when you don't have or know all the information. You assumed the worse about the depth of the holes and how they are secured in the ground, you assumed the trench is not up to code. You assume that if the system is undersized, and they don't now what they are doing. They explain that the client can't afford everything up front and will add more solar panels as funds are available. You must think everyone thinks like you or have the money like you. Some folks don't like to put themselves in debt or live on credit like you, but buy as they can afford things. Are you jealous because you are not getting views on your You tube channel? Get over yourself.

  • @michaelharmon5991

    This is the most unprofessional jack-leg solar install I think I have ever seen. Those posts will rot out about 20 years before the panels wear out. You going to bolt those angle brackets on top of the posts? Bolts don't hold in end grain. First good breeze and the rack will blow over. How deep are those posts in the ground,12" to 18". Couldn't be much more than that being dug with a shovel. No good.I can hardly wait to see the inverter installation.That trench for the wire is not to code, You got an electrician on staff? 2400W solar on 15KW batteries is about 50% undersized. Any of your guys NABCEP certified. Guys like you give us real solar contractors a bad name.

    • @sleemsolar
      @sleemsolar 14 дней назад

      @michaelharmon5991 -if you'd look closely, you would have seen an auger, which is what was used to dig down 36 to 40 inches and 12 inches wide. The posts in the ground are filled with cement and sealed. The customer is starting out with 2400 watts and will be adding more solar panels as they can afford more. This unit only can take 4kW of solar. This is being installed as a backup power source, not the main power as the client have grid power. As for the trench, the property is on a hill and the terrain is rocky, so that is as deep as it's going to get in certain spots and the client had the trench dug. Before we put the conduits in the trench, we dug it out more. 4x4 treated wood are laid across the 6x6 posts and secured with 10 inch stainless steel bolts. Bolts are not put into end grains. You assume an awful lot before you see how this installation turns out. We visited your YT channel and don't see anything about you doing solar. Are you in the field?

    High frequency inverters are typically smaller and lighter and offer a slightly better efficiency rating, but because they don't use an output transformer, they don't offer any galvanic isolation between their DC boost stage and their AC output, which makes high frequency inverters far less safe when powering household appliances. Lightweight high frequency inverters can even set your appliances on fire during a catastrophic failure of their H-Bridge circuit.

    Refrigerator would be very hot rest of the day with these kinda numbers and would destroy all of the foods. Just saying. Remember this are also with LED lights, not older lights that are typical using 60 watt. Personally i would say in Norway we would be spending about 200 watt approximately at these. And i would also multiply that with 24 hours since they have too be running the whole day and night. Today people are using computer most. Laptop are typical using 80-100 watt, but desktop are using between 200 and 300 watt with monitor.

    I would double or triple the refrigerator demand, as it’s always running four or five times an hour. Most people underestimate the demand. Also I would double the solar, unless you have the ability to move the panels as the sun moves along the sky & overcast and rainy days. Basically I double everything just in case.

      The 1 in the first part of the formula, is the SOC of lithium Iron Phosphate battery which is static, the 1.05 is the % for 95% which must LFP batteries are efficient .But in order to use that in the formula, it needs to be a variable number , not a %, so dividing 100 by 1.05 gives you 95%. The same thing for inverters, must are 90% efficient, so the same thing apply, 100 divided by 90% equals 1.11 which represent 90%. The 3 represents 3 days of autonomy. Hope this helps.

    Hi, to screw up the solar self-power consumption in order to save electricity costs: ruclips.net/video/eC2olbCBhh0/видео.html Many more links below. Avoiding grid purchases will shorten the payback period. With Dimmer + Solar PV, self-sufficiency can now increase to almost 95%. That's how easy it is to suppress expensive grid purchases. The electricity bill stops just like the electricity meter. Kettle: Without a dimmer, the 2500W - 600W PV system needs = 1900W, which you have to pay more for. If I turn the kettle down to 600W with a dimmer, then every PV system that is too weak can now supply each consumer independently and independently, because the 2500W kettle becomes a 600W kettle thanks to the dimmer. No magic, just physics. The prerequisite is that you have at least one small solar PV balcony power plant. You don't need an expensive battery. The 2000W electric heater becomes a 500W electric heater via a dimmer, which I can run 12 hours a day free of charge via PV. The 4000W analog oven is also tamed. It is not the solar systems that have to grow, but the average consumption of the integrated device heaters simply has to drop by 75%. With the dimmer / voltage controller it has become so easy. I have already switched my entire household (2020) to 4x dimmers. Please have a look at my channel. 🌞 ........... Increase mini PV solar self-sufficiency (winter and camping): You can continuously regulate a boiler and other power-hungry consumers with the "5000W dimmer". Ebay €7. I run 4 dimmers in parallel on an 850W inverter. Kettle 2.2KW at 150W runs 12 hours a day, so the water is always hot ruclips.net/video/D9Ss0RuqZG0/видео.html . The room is also nicely heated. 2.5KW washing machine runs in parallel with dimmed to 400...600W and always reaches its 60°C, and also its 1400rpm... It doesn't matter to the washing machine whether it changes the washing temperature to 5min@2500W or 100% can be achieved free of charge via existing PV power in 20min@600W. The wash cycle lasts the same time dimmed and non-dimmed, 3Sth 10min. The iron ruclips.net/video/-71oL7z1kMU/видео.html , dishwasher ruclips.net/video/8vnAkrS1x-s/видео.html , oven ruclips.net/video/azDjqZpz77U/видео.html , electric heater ruclips.net/video/QbLWDbJi6ew/видео.html , Waffle iron ruclips.net/user/shortsofanZCdYEjA?feature=share, coffee machine, all internal heating is throttled with me. Lots of videos on my channel. The inverter stays cool and quiet and the MOSFETs + (battery packs) stay intact because extreme current peaks no longer reach the inverter. Now every Mini PV Inverter is enough to operate large devices. So, with the dimmer, all internal heaters/devices can be converted into base load devices that stay almost permanently ON, drawing very little current directly from the PV. With a wattmeter / energy cost meter you can then measure this perfectly in order to set the dimmer optimally. ........ Comments: "Great idea - despite studying electrical engineering, I didn't think of it myself ;-)" or "I installed it in our washing machine, great idea!" or "Glück Auf Christian, I'm a professional myself but I haven't figured that out yet. 👌 Greetings Mitch 💚" and many more... So if I want to boil my water, I always have to use the same amount of energy for one liter. Christian's method relies on a longer period of time with less power in order to be able to use the power provided by the PV as efficiently as possible - so consumption peaks are intercepted. In the end, the energy consumption should even be (slightly) higher due to the interposition of the dimmer, but it doesn't matter, since more efficient coverage by the PV system and therefore better use of the self-generated energy ..........
