This timelapse video is of the Pacific Railcar Operators (PRO) Speeder/Motorcar excursion on the Mount Hood Railroad on May 21, 2024. The excursion went the full 21-miles each way from Hood River to Parkdale, Oregon. The video is of the return trip to Hood River. The video goes slower on the steep 3.5% grades around the switchback. This is the only US railroad hauling freight with a switchback....

I hear you'll be doing this ride again this year, 8/19 - 21/2022? Roughly when do you expect to be coming through Mapleton?
Mapleton is 37-miles from our set-on location. Departure is probably around 8:00 am. 10 to 20 mph with a potty stop puts us there around 10 to 11 am. My best guess.

Truly an awesome group of enthusiasts enjoying a hobby I wish to be a part of! I must admit that I prefer the sounds of the steel wheels on the rails more so than the sounds of guitars and drums. Still, a terrific video!👍
