Yes Maxell is always the winner. I loved maxell because of sound, quality, smell and touch feel. Everything.
Does the CDing IV have the same issues with white powder that the MA's have?
I'm gonna have to check out some of the Type 1 Axia's. I never really got into Type 1's that much outside of TDK's AD-X, especially not Axia.
Just buy a standard multi format charger with contacts on spring loaded "sleds" and you will be able to charge those gumstick batteries. They will be probably all gone bad, because of many years of no use, by the way they are still produced by other (chinese) companies.
wonderfull piece of audio equipment, that i can never have.
Should use vinyl records
Justamente hace 2 días atras tuve la oportunidad de comprar 2 cajas de la linea ZX , hoy grabe un cassette y el resultado fueron muy bueno , lo utilize en un deck Yamaha KX-360.
Wonder why the named them ZX when ZX on Nakamichi decks refers to metal??
I've had a $300 Umidigi Bison for 2+ years and it's been great. It does everything a $1000 Samsung phone does so why would I spend an extra $700+???!!
It's a great phone . Has the hardware features all phones should have. Plus a charger. The things I don't like are the Duraspeed notifications and most importantly, lack of security updates.
Though this probably wouldn't be great for a desktop setup, it could be pretty good upgrade for something like a laptop, especially with how nice and compact it is. If it's powered via a usb cable, does that technically mean one could power it via a battery pack, and have themselves a somewhat portable wireless soundbar?
Eh I dont know much about the more expensive PC speaker now days, but all of cheap-mid Speaker using USB for power, and yes you can use powerbank or phone changer if you want to, just dont use the one with high voltage or you will damage it.
Yep, you could power this via a battery pack no worries.
Retro core AV is back!
I use a 2.1 logitech setup on my 1080p Panny Plasma... I'm old school 😅✌️
Nothing wrong with old school 👍
It's a bit on the tinny side. I prefer the creative labs speakers because of greater stereo separation.
So do I 👍
Three and a quarter inch connector! CHUNKY 😅
Oops, should be mm.
Hello i have many metal cassettes, it's cool stuff, really amazing
Yes they are!
Why are they called ZX? And who are these trolls 🧌 who say their really bad?
Enjoyable video! I just wanted to point out that you have MiniDisc recording backwards. The laser is what heats the disc. It runs at a high intensity to heat the writable surface to its Curie point, and the magnetic head above the disc writes the data.
Ah. I see. Thanks for the info 👍
Got this phone. Love it.
That FM transmitter could be used for a variety of practical pranks, I feel.
its an ok casette
I had 2 van halen albums on one of these tapes. Sounded great at the time but aged terribly very fast ><
Eh? Sounds like normal bias to me
Did a recording on a used one of these, using dolby b, i was extremely surprised at the sound quality.
...Try this cassette on Nakamichi ZX-9❤😊❤
One good thing about those cassettes is that they are screwed together. This gives you a good basis for a cassette repair from another ruined cassette.
Price kitna hai
I Have three old portable CD players all work great they are like 25 years old now. only one can play the radio and the sound is great
HOTT=Hats Off To This 😂😂
Pretty cool feature
Can these drive full size headphones?
Yes. I use a pair of Sony WH-1000XM4 with it. No issues at all.
Oh wow I recently picked up a portable CD player too. It's so hard to figure out which of the no name brands will provide a decent experience. Similar to your situation, I had an old Sony CD boombox but the audio out of it was just not as impressive. The no name portable player was actually better. Crazy!
Nobody was phasing out portable CD players in 1999.
I moved to Japan in 1998 and yes, portable CD players were slowly being phased out. Mini Disc was the format of choice by that point. Maybe in the West, especially the US where MD never caught on, CD Players were still the format of choice when it came to portable music.
@@retrocoreav7025 Yes. MD was a complete and total flop in the US and every major brand had portable CD players into the 2000s. I have one from "RCA" which I think I bought in 03. It can also play mp3 and another format, maybe wma. But that FM broadcaster built in is pretty cool.
Yes new video since ages ago!
Thanks for watching. 👍
First of all, congrats on rebooting the AV channel. And then it's really cool to see such quirky device eventho I presume it could face legal challenges if imported to certain countries, using the FM band which is very regulated. Man, using CDs and listening to plain old FM radio is becoming old fashioned here. In facts, CD isles in big electronics stores are shrinking by the month (and I'm under the impression the vinyl fad is coming to an end as well). I guess young people nowadays are completely accustomed to the idea that if you want to listen to music you have to sign up to a service and it has to be over the Internet.
Thanks! Yeah, sadly young people today have no idea about the pleasure of music. Just as well since most new stuff in the mainstream is total crap. All that autotunning bollocks, monotone voices, basic as hell melodies and so on.
I also thought about the legality of broadcasting on FM. In the demo there's one point I change the frequency and once the CD player's signal was switched there was a legitimate radio station broadcasting on that frequency 😅. Yes, it was a weak signal but most likely due to all the electronic interference in the room.
I love Johnny Hates Jazz!! Turn Back The Clock never gets old!
That CD was part of the 3CD anniversary set they put out a few years back. It's a great set for any Johnny Hates Jazz fan.
@@retrocoreav7025 Yeah I always see the same lonely copy in my local hmv. Think I'm gonna take it home!
Hello fellow GoldWave user!
Nice! Been using Gold Wave for at least 15 years. Excellent software. Although the last major update wanted me to pay for the license again so I stuck with the original. Gold wave is excellent for editing but I do all my recording and viynal noise reduction on RX.
"Someone else (anybody) can tune in and listen to what you're broadcasting over FM. ... and that is how Mr. Smith from Fukuoka was arrested for piracy😄 Now, to be honest, neither of the players sounded exceptionally good over YT compression algorithm. To judge sound (and display) clarity, you have to listen to it in person. It won't do it justice, on-line🎶📣 There are no small number of boomers who have huge trouble operating the basics of VCR, CD, DVD, Blu Ray or other electronic devices. A large number of people born in that era, really hated reading manuals, for some reason🤨
I would have loved something that broadcasted over FM in the 80s. It's like having your own pirate radio station 😂
Basically this is radio station portable, look pretty good if you still use FM radio coz FM radio cost practically almost nothing now so you can enjoy your music in any FM receiver, wonder if there MP3 version out there.
Pretty much!
What's name of sony model ?? So cool Design
You know, I have no idea. It's just a serial number. I'd have to look at the actual device to see what it was. I can tell you it's a Japan only model.
@@retrocoreav7025 thanks
I think its a Sony ZS-E30
@@teskanator thanks
Welcome back Mark. Hope you will be doing more cassette reviews.
I'm afraid not. I ended up selling all my cassettes to someone who'd get much more use from them. I loved my cassettes but with my busy life, I could never appreciate them like I did as a teenager.
I have a vintage (mid to late 80s) Technics linear tracking turntable. I bought in on EBay for $40.00. All it needed to work like new, was a new platter belt, and a new cartridge. They really ought to start making those again. And they could probably sell them for a lot less than they cost in the eighties. I don't care for the models that have the tracking arm on the inside of the lid. They remind me of the Kenner "Close N Play" record player my little sister had when we were kids.
Is this a repost?
It was originally on my gaming channel.
@@retrocoreav7025 ahhhh I did wonder
Packages from China!
None game addition.
That's a cool monitor. I'd maybe get some sort of stand so I can stand it vertical to play some tate action with the switch.
Yeah, I'm surprised at how nice that monitor is.
i have the same unit the quality is superb!❤❤
Ah, a fellow graphic equalizer fan. It is a very nice unit.
For being a metal tape it sure looks cheap imo a metal tape should have high quality construction
This is a cheaper end metal tape. Kind of at the end of the life.
They never sounded awful to me as a kid 😂
How do you connect the audio to the camera?
Via a 3.5mm jack.
