I meant to say has ms
Thank you so much for this tutorial and pattern, I’ve knit the mittens and beret, I haven’t knit from primary school and got inspired to knit again by my sister who had ms, I’m not doing too badly and I love this beret I’m on to my second as with my mittens, best regards 😊
Music too much for me it's very annoying. Would have loved to have watched all the way through.
thank you for getting straight to the point with no crap!
I think this a great little pattern and you explain things very well...but I agree with the other comments about the music...it becomes very distracting.
I'm the 800 subscriber
Thank you great job demonstrating the process.
Great video thank you . I can overlook the music, because I really want to know how to do this type glove . *curtsy*
Very nice
How many stitches are u casting on?
Constance Carlsen 30 is how many she casted
@Kathy Cayton I"m with her on this one. The camera isn't positioned properly to see it correctly. Thankfully I was able to figure it out on my own. Basically, when you are switching from knitting to purling, you are doing what is called yf, yarn front. You are bringing the yarn from the back of the work, to the front. And then when you are switching from purling to knitting, you are doing what is called a yb, yarn back. You are bringing the yarn to the BACK of the work.
fab
So what is the difference between yf and yfwd?
they are both used in a project I à knitting. To me they look the same though.
mam I didn't able to do the step casting on stiches 1:50 can u please help me out.
RAHUL SEMWAL I know how it's easy
Good learning video thank you (but also not a fan of jerky music) bye.
Thank.you for your video. I was just looking for a video that got straight to the point and yours met the need. Much appreciated.
Helen A.
hah you videos
Camera is not positioned correctly in order to see how the stitch is done correctly. Also, you could try each stitch at least 3 times so it is more clearer.
Cool
cannot really see what you are doing as this video is so dark"
We're is lesson one
I get it you are trying to fill the "dead space" but back ground music should be really low, cuz it gets so annoying...
I can't find you video #1 for this?
Gary Scott Cates this has everything in it ... basic cast on is the method she used to cast on :)
Great tutorial one of the best thus far. The music was a bit distracting ..but besides that again great tutorial ..thank you for sharing
wanted to watch to the end, but couldn't take the music.
Love your Video hate the music !
what does continue in kind mean? i've never heard that terminology before
I think she means by increasing by one. Like how row 7 is (k9, k1fb), row 9 is (k10, k1fb), row 11 is (k11, k1fb), so therefore row 13 would be (k12, k1fb) and row 15 would be (k13, k1fb) and so forth (the even rows are purls). row 17 (k14, k1fb), row 19 (k15, k1fb) row 20- purl and at this time at row 20 you should end with a total of 136 stitches. That is what I think- I could be wrong though, I am working on it now.
Love your Video hate the music :( :):)
I'd like to make a pair of fingerless gloves for my brother...he climbs cellphone towers....I'm wondering what would be like a medium size...how many stitches should one cast on for a medium size?
Great video thank's! What is the music ?
Thank you! The song is called "Where I am From". I hope you will join me on my website, www.LucindaSegneri.com. Happy knitting!
Hi everyone. Thank you for your comments. This video is for the yf and yb in American patterns, not the yarn forward in English patterns. I have a video for 'yarn over', which provides the instruction for the English 'yarn forward'.
I really wanted to know how to do a yarn over and a yarn back stitch. However it would be nice to actually be able to see how it's done. All I saw was a knitted project and not the actual stitches. Lady you can really do better
Don't mean to sound disagreeable, but the name of your video is somewhat a misnomer. The techniques you are demonstrating are abbreviated wyif or wyib - with yarn in front or with yarn in back and is very useful when you are doing short rows or slipping stitches. The term 'yarn forward' is actually an English term that refers to making a yarn over by wrapping the yarn 'forward' and then proceeding to knit the next stitch. This makes an extra stitch leaving a deliberate hole when purling back.
Yes, but some patterns, such as the one that I am currently working on, use the abbreviation yf and yb. I googled what they meant and came across the video. Thankfully she was correct. And my pattern worked.
