G-AACJ An Armstrong Whitworth Argosy A.W.154 II, Aeroplane flight over Blackpool C1935, F957
An Armstrong Whitworth Argosy A.W.154 MKII on a pleasure flight out of Stanley Airport Blackpool in 1935 (possibly 1936). I think this Argosy was commissioned in 1928 and was designated "City of Manchester" (with the type all being named after British cities).
The aircraft takes off, flies over the town, and lands again. This is the second time I have found film of this plane...the first is of her flying the Silver Service route between London and Paris some time in 1929...it is nice to catch it again a few years later, though I can find nothing of her history after 1936, so I guess the pleasure flight work at Blackpool might have been the last she did.

G-AHPR flying from England to Basel some time around 1960 (a guess). I am not sure which airport it leaves from (the sign says Brompton Air Station), but its destination is Basel Switzerland. The coach shown is signed Airwork Ltd London. The footage shows the plane from the outside, but also some cabin shots out the window. Digitised frame by frame from the original amateur 16mm Kodachrome film...

Some footage of XJ513 along with four other Sea Vixen planes which made up the Fred's Five Air Display Team of 766 Squadron. This footage dates to about 1962. I understand that this display team did not give shows after this date. Albeit this is rather short footage, but I could find no moving images of this team so though I would post this up anyway. Some footage of a Junkers W34d transport plane in New Guinea in mid 1930. Sadly, this plane crashed into a mountain near Wampit New Guinea on the 22nd of May 1931. This accident killed the pilot Leslie J. Trist who was carrying cargo from Lae to Bulolo at the time. Some footage of a Junkers G31 registered at this time as VH-UOU. This plane was built by Junkers in 1930 as a freighter model for use by Bulolo Gold Dredging Ltd, of Bulolo, New Guinea. Footage of a Fairey Aviation Delta 2 designated BAC221 or WG774. In its early incarnations this broke a number of speed records in the 1950s, and after modifications was used as a test plane in the Concorde development program as shown here from 1st May 1964. Incidentally, this may be the first Flight in the BAC221 designation. The only credit appearing is for BAC that have produced this film.

A short amateur film showing some DeHavilland Vampires at RAAF Base Pearce Perth Australia in the early 1950s. Planes A79-801 and A79-282 are seen closer than others. Both were commissioned in the early 1950s and both were scrapped in 1961. The striking thing about this film is it is 9.5mm stock...in some places hard to tell apart from 16mm in resolution.
