Don't anagrams have to use all the letters? How is "Neo" and anagram of "The One"? I get that you can make "Neo" out of the letters in "One", but that leaves "The", which is conveniently forgotten, or is there something I've missed with reference to Neo that use "The" or some other combination of those letters?

I've read explorations of this theory that suggest certain limitations found in the universe are simply programming decisions designed to keep simulations relatively contained, for example, the speed of light. And certain things that we theorized about physics (such as Einstein's lambda) were humans identifying the limits of our simulation, and the evidence that we discovered years later was from the simulation being updated to stay one step ahead of our understanding. The same might be true for dark matter, etc. And the reason why all other planets are so far away is that there is no practical way to reach them, keeping the simulation contained. But who knows... and in the end, it doesn't matter.

IIRC, Neo was supposed to be gaslighted into believing he's the Jesus Christ supposed to save humanity. In theory, machines needed a something to stop people from waking up, they noticed they can narrow it down to small group around pne beacon. Neo is not a chosen one, he's part of program that is making less people to wake up from Matrix. And whole Matrix is designed for him to believe he must save them. Everyone is gaslighted into believing into him, so they can then gaslight him outside of Matrix as well as in the Matrix. The only thing that broke that cycle is that Prophet program lady. She stood up against her creators and make Neo love more his girlfriend than whole humanity. Neo chose Trinity only because he was showed it is okay to have personal feelings.
