If your downshift is jerky, then you downshifted too early. No rev matching needed.
What? It doesn't matter what time you downshift. As long as you match it to the right rpm it's still smooth. For beginners your method is perfectly fine, but it's good to know how to rev match.
How to halfass a pad slap. These aren't tips and tricks. This is you doing the standard procure but like skipping half the steps. 1. The scissor lift is included because not because it will hold the weight, it there cause its small and cheap and might get you out of a roadside jam but doesnt belong anywhere in a main service procedure. 2. No mention of wheel chalks or even the parking brake *especially* when using a scissor jack that I could prob push off with two fingers. Like even a block of wood? 3. No jack stands? 4. Pads with no lubricant Slider pin with no inspection or lubricant 4. The wheel that came off needs to going under the frame of the car, especially the way this is being worked on. You can also tell that the Germans are generally good drivers. And all the vehicles are very new and even the busses accelerate very quickly. All makes for a good driving experience. Except for the damn speed cameras and parking costs.

Idk why people go on like driving on the autobahn is some meccah for petrol heads. It's just a boring ass freeway that you can hit v max on a few times before you get bored. Give me a deserted country road with twists and turns, elevation changes and camber anyday.
@@johnstape4488 not sure why it needs to be a either or situation
@drivestickshiftNYC both can be fun to do but I comment because of the nature and title of your video. You can't deny what I say is true to an extent. Almost everyday I get a video of some car channel just sending it down the autobahn in some modded or exotic car. It's boring to watch. If Germany is so great show me the hidden away deserted twisty roads with good visibility and such. I can show you plenty of those in England/Scotland
@@johnstape4488 each video isn't catered for each possible watcher, and shooting footage is encumbersome as is. Germany has long windy roads, or even dirt roads through corn fields which I got to drive, and yes they are absolutely fun, but so does the USA, tho the USA does have a limitless speed zone leading to lots of other problems when ppl pursue that thrill illegally
@@drivestickshiftNYC my point is those are the "proper" roads. Sending it down a motorway is an American pastime because of how their roads are laid out so straight a lot never really get to experience actual driving roads. Autobahn is therefore hyped up a ton when really it's just surface level car enjoyment, going fast in a straight line

@@ElenBell fun on a bun
I need a explanation since im new to this. I know that lower gears are used for lower speeds so how can u just accelerate when dropping a gear without having upshift again.
@@patrickgoldenbridge1891 lower speed need more power to get you up to higher speeds, so low gears like 1&2 have a lot of torque (power) availability, and higher gears 4&5 have more speed available once you get up to there
@@drivestickshiftNYC so I can go 50mph on first gear?
@@patrickgoldenbridge1891 cars with more stock horse power tend to have longer gears. A short gear (like 1st) doesn't have a long speed range(0-25mph), a long gear like (5th or 6th) has a big speed allowance (50mph-120mph). For example, if you have a hellcat yes, you can get up to 50mph in 1st, it has a lot stock horse power(707hp), long gears all around. Most cars like my 99 protege have short 1st gear, like most cars. I could get to 30-35mph in 1st but she would be revving high
@@patrickgoldenbridge1891 so 5th is a long gear, best for high/top speed, but dropping a gear to 4th will give you more torque (power) to accelerate up to that higher speed, ex: to speed up quick to over take someone or say for getting onto a freeway accelerating up on the on ramp
My man didn't even mention the demagnetizer.
@@hashwizardd I did not, but it is in there 😉
Appreciate the quick review. Would be curious to know the torque output of the bit driver. Also does it free spin, or can i use it to break loose fasteners? I wish the light had a separate button, so i can see before i screw.
@@stertheder the light does not have a separate button sadly, the screwdriver does lock up so break nuts free, and in the bottom layer of the case your have a thin handle fixed handle for the tight areas. Output: .25 n.m torque, manual 3n.m
Horribly inneficient cost cutting is what that sounds like to me. Adding a credit/debit reader is obviously quicker for everyone

i don't recommend doing that, most cars now have e-brakes anyways. been driving for a month in stick and on a hill i just go a bit more gas then i usually do i mean its really not that complicated
Im curious if i can do it like i would in my semi. Release the clutch until i start to feel it tug a little and then release the break. (The speed at which i releass the peddles varies depending on hill and load size.) Im only familiar with cluth on ATVs and semis. I feel like my semi has enough power in the low gears and a car would not so youd have to give it gas. Thanks for the advice.
