I believe this is done by the Kinks - sounds exactly like Pete Townshend and Peter Noone, who split from the Kinks to secretly perform as... Peter and Gordon. Very few people know this. If you play the vinyl record backwards, and listen closely, you'll hear: "We are the Kinks and we can prove it..." "Peter and Gordon are space aliens..." note that Gordon does a great "windmill" - a real give-a-way.

This is so inferior to an actual Fab Four recording. We all know the Beatles never recorded this and gave the song away to Peter and Gordon. Stop advertising this as an original demo. It pisses me off to no end because young people will believe anything these days.

Thats NOT the Beatles. I dont doubt that Paul McCartney wrote it. Peter Asher of Peter and Gordon was the brother of Jane Asher, who was Paul's girlfriend, so he probably wrote it for them. He wrote songs for many people outside the Beatles ("Come and Get It" for Badfinger). etc . Who is singing this I have no idea; it's not Peter and Gordon .

This is the Beatles, after all they wrote it for Peter and Gordon. Paul's, higher voice is very clear at the end, yh The Seekers, do a much better rendition then Peter and Gordon.

Speaking as one who has listened to the Beatles' voices for 60 years (literally), this sounds to me like an authentic Beatles demo. It's probably fake, but it's well done. Authentic or not, I love the coda on this version.
