Harpo must not really be playing piano, right? I read that Harpo's repertoir were just two songs.
Dario, I'm not expert, but it appears that he is playing at least most of the time, but not strongly. I have heard that he would substitute for Chico in the early days when Chico couldn't attend a gig that he had booked. We would need a real Marx fanatic to know for sure, though.
@@toeg1 I've heard that as well. I also heard that harpo learned about 6 instruments. I forgot what they were exactly: harp for sure. Clarinet, harmonica? And two songs on the piano counts I guess.
Harpo is not even fingering the right notes. It's clear in the beginning. He's inconsistent. But I love the marx brothers. This scene in particular is awesome.
