Hooray! Pippin is done! 🙌🥳👏🎉 And a beautiful, squishy gift from Amber! Work is draining my brain right now, too. I just discovered Mint Rain last year and received a couple of her self-striping Christmas yarns and one variegated Harry Potter colorway for Christmas. I love that she dyes striping yarn on multiple weights. I hope that your Doodle cowl is still coming along, and that you continue to find some joy in every day. ❤

So sorry you are having challenges at work but I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate all you are doing. I have a son in law that works at school with special needs student. I used to be a reader but not as much now. Hoping to get back into reading though. I do more crocheting and playing the guitar. I really liked your video. You have a great day!

Hi, I just found you via the Happy Little Yarn podcast! I am so sorry the back to school has been hard! I am a middle school orchestra teacher and am right there with you! I love that you are leaning into things that bring you joy! My absolute favorite sci-fi fantasy series is Anne McCaffrey’s Dragonriders of Pern series-since you are a teacher I recommend you start with the Harperhall trilogy-first book is Dragonsong. Her writing will sweep you away! I also love everything by Mercedes Lackey-maybe start with Arrows of the Queen from her Heralds of Valdemar series. Her Hunter series is also good-Hunter is the first book. Sending positive vibes and energy your way!

My favorite thing about Fall is the changing leaves. A close second is apples. Cooler temperatures. A slower-growing lawn. It’s really the best season!

I love fall for the cooler mornings and evenings but warmer days! Also getting into a bit of a routine with back to school

My favorite thing about fall (autumn) is the maple tree in my neighbor's yard that I can see from my reading/knitting chair. Other favorites include crunching through fall leaves, the smell of wet fall leaves and getting to wear all the knits again!
That sounds like a great place to read or knit!
One thing I love about Fall is meeting my new group of First-graders, and getting back into a routine. I also get to wear more of my hand knits.
I am looking forward to meeting my new group of kids too.

I love the Jungle Doodle cowl! The colors and designs are so colorful and fun. You didn’t know how to spell “Alis,” but I didn’t know how to pronounce Feyre or Rhysand. 😂 I think we need both formats! I remember reading the first Harry Potter book with my son and having no idea how to say “Hermione.”
I am glad I am not the only one who gets confused! Honestly when i read a fantasy book if i can't pronounce the name, i just call them by their first letter haha

He is a knit pattern but i have heard there is a crocheted version of it out there! I have not personally tried it though
Girl- I am looking up the most common pronunciations for these names because I wanted so bad to say Alice and not Alis. hahahahaha
The narrator pronounces it as Alice in the audiobook version i have so it just threw me for a loop lol

heyyy love your jungle doodle cowl, it's incredible and lovely to look at. i wonder if you know the name or how to do that picking up floats with a crochet hook you mentioned? I've been trying to look for a technique like that but can't find anything like it.
Thank you! I actually don't know what the technique is a called......i saw it on an Instagram short that wasn't in English and thought i would try it. There are a lot of great videos about catching floats on here though, the very pink knits one is where I started.
