No. You can make multiple as it has 3 compartments. Also you can mix 2 -3 of it like - green moong with black urad etc.

Smell is actually dependent on the climatic conditions of the place where you live. If it is humid, it is most likely going to smell. I have used plastic, steel, terracotta, cloth etc. plastic is convenient to use. Just that using plastic in general is not good for health. 🫣 So I try using the stainless steel or terracotta more ☺️

There is bit of space around it to keep the seeds moist which helps in sprouting

You can store them like how you store coriander or mint etc. - putting tissues in a box. They will stay fresh for longer. Alternately, you can use fridge storage boxes like these -amzn.in/d/emBGoxi

My opinion after using steel, plastic and terracotta sprouts maker- Steel is better in terms of durability and also if you are concerned about health factors and want to limit usage of plastic. But if you talk about usability, I found plastic ones more convenient than steel or terracotta. Terracotta looks fancy but needs to be handled with care.

Moong and channa won't get broken if handled with spoon. 😃 As these are bigger in size and not that delicate. However, would have made sense it was ragi, amaranth or some other tiny delicate seeds

We prefer eating vegetarian food on most days. It is just once or twice in a month when we end up eating non-veg as it is difficult to control temptations all the time 😢

I keep it in kitchen counter top or in the dinning table. You can keep it anywhere (except for inside the fridge)
