INFILTRATING an Huge Abandoned RUSSIAN Ship that is Fully Equipped! - PART 1
Просмотров 63 тыс.Месяц назад
In this video we explore an abandoned russian ship! Lots of machinery and equipment still in place. Instagram: nvr.2curious
I notice that you used music from Skyrim! Very fitting. (edit: It's called Silent Footsteps)
That's very cool that people notice it! I liked it for the eerie ambience
a huge*
That’s a Swann Morton scalpel without a blade attached.
That's not a fridge at the start, it's called an autoclave, it uses high pressure and heat to steralise medical instruments.
It's understandable that a lot of ships get abandoned by their owners. Sometimes the cost to have it scrapped is more than it's really worth, so they just leave it. The scrapping cost is often steep because of asbestos. And to send the ship around the world to Gadani Beach, Pakistan or Chittagong, Bangladesh also costs a pile of money that most owners don't want to pay out.
Far better that the crew lose their jobs in Port than they lose their lives far from Port aboard an unseaworthy vessel that may capsize and sink beneath their feet...
I agree! It was not stopped in the port without some reason
autoclave is called...it is for sterilizing medical instruments.
Nice video! Thanks for sharing.
Glad you like it!
Wow, mega interessant. Daumen hoch 👍
Thanks! Glad you like it
What's ship's name? What port is this ship in?
2:15 "1 Man" is russian James Bond EDIT 13:53 dude, didn't you see the ropes, or aren't you fit enough to slide down?
To sterilise equipment before operations or tooth removal
Thanks for the info on this
absolutely fantastic!!
Glad you enjoy it!
Why are all controls in English on a red ship?
Not everyone understood Russian probably - in a part it had international crew
I'm currently playing Man of Medan.... This was not a good video for me 😉😂
There may have been some form of contagion on board, prompting a quick evacuation; there may still be fomite activity. It may be toxic in various ways, hense the immediate evacuation evident. Reminds me of what I saw in Khe Sanh Vietnam, in1971. Partially typed paper in typwriters, plates of food with the silverware still in them sitting on tables, all manner of stuff laying in place, as if it were that day- instead of 1969. Everything exposed to the elements, no one came back for years at all.
Niech się niesie😊
Dzięki 🙏😊
By the interior the ship seems far from unsafe. It appears maybe a financial matter came about the reasons personal things are all about.
That is why it is unfit 4 service. It has Samsung washers and dryers. Total crap.
LOL! Yes, they are crap.
cool video
Thanks!
a russian ship with english on the controls and gages
What is the ship's name? What port is the ship in?
The ship is the SS poo shipski 9000
The ship is called the SS poo shipski 9000.
Russian ship? I think not. No leaking, and still clean. On russian ships everything leaking, and everything dirty. Only place there is no water on russian ships, is in the toilets...
love the content!
Glad you like it!
Bro is using a Skyrim Dungeon Soundtrack and i love it haha
Yeah! I think it fits
@nvr2curious definitely
That's 'Russian not fit' for sea! Jesus.
Was habt ihr da zu suchen?
Be too cool to be hiding and just jump out and go 'Boo!'
Skyrim Theme 😅
I recommend you buy a climber's harness and clips. Its much safer than doing it freehand as you've been doing. Stay safe!
Very strange, all that equipment could be removed and sold.
That pool may have been an area where workers could be cleaned off if they became contaminated or sprayed with oil. The runoff needs to be contained since they couldnt release it to the ocean or harbor.
Interesting information!
No it was CLEARLY recreational since it has a steam room and dumbbells laying around
Such a clean off would not have an entire sunken pool… it would just be like a shower .. but the drains would be connected to a separate tank.
The fact that the oligarch just abandoned the vessel instead of coordinating its sale and scrapping...that must be an expensive process for turn key oil smugglers.
Going down into the lower portions of a ship that's been neglected for a few weeks can be extremely dangerous. Heavy gasses can displace the oxygen and you can be overcome in just one or two breaths.
What do those gasses come from, the oil itself?
The ship in itself was actually pretty well ventilated, however confined spaces indeed present a lethal risk without preparation.
@@nvr2curious please use oxygen detector in such places
@@HappyQuailsLC Where rust forms and there's no proper ventilation there's no oxygen, the forming of rust consumes it.
@@christosswc No. Gases from the oil displace oxygen. Iron doesn't consume much oxygen in the process of rusting.

I sure hope you have two flashlights.
Yes, I had two emergency light sources, however these were not good for the video purpose
Taking multiple sources of light would be a must on this type of exploration.
I believe he has his cellphone torch light as a last resort.
When you leave your flip-flops behind, you left in a hurry.
The skf bearings show they buy german quality 😂 Wonder why they left those behind? Can easy be sold on the marked
SKF is Swedish bearings originaly, now made in many country.
Easy question to answer: An increasing number of worn out Russian oil tankers have been used to circumvent Western sanctions against exporting Russian oil. however, when an individual ship comes on the sanctions list. it is done for. it can't be sold, it loses its value to any international shipper.
? You can buy it change the name and flag and boom no sanctions? Why would a russian shitp sold and operated by someone from panama be sanctioned? The russian side needs tankers so what they sell is broken and used up that is why we wont see them for sale?
Can't they take it to the DMB and get its title transferred?
Man idk I can't tell if you're serious.
@ half serious. If a boat is owned by Russia, left as a derelict craft by Russians (either military or private industry), what’s stopping a country like the Philippines from appropriating and putting their flag on it? Would the boat still be sanctioned? If so, it’s kind of silly.
@@dustinandtarynwolfe5540 It is common knowledge. Nobody wants to haul cargo in a ship that can't be ensured and Russian exporters like Rosneft? will have the ship turned around if it venture into another country's territorial waters. That in essence makes the ship useless. The owner might wait out the war and hope sanctions will be lifted soon. but he can't really do anything with it.
Interesting video, thankyou for sharing.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it
Being a Russian ship, I'd expected more faeces. We all know what theyre like. 🙂
One of the most interesting ship-explorations I saw. I'm subbed now 😉
I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for your support!
What if one of the many doors you opened and entered, shut behind you with no door handle to open from inside.
Rule #1 when exploring is always make sure doors can be opened from both sides. Rule #2 Take nothing but pictures. That said when I was into urban exploration I used to make my way with little reflective stickers that I posted to mark my way and removed them as I left.
It's needed to check doors. One moment like this I left out of the video to not make it too long.
This is like Alfred Hitchcock.."Pyscho" You should suddenly shout and jump .....scare us
Mission to making the shits
So many signs in English obviously multi crew component . Not a sailor nor an engineer but maybe just maybe with a decent maintenance team and over haul one could bring this 1 back 2 life, guess the cost 2 do so was prohibitive hence why its just sitting there with the waves and current gently most of the time stroking and talking in natures way its outer hull.
Yes, definitely it was too expensive for the ship owner to maintain it. Interesting
We want see the video where you find the load of cash!
Mad man!!!!
Thanks!
If only the ship was maintained to class, she has all the usualspares required as an ex merchant engineer its good to see a well preserved vessel!!! < New sub mate
Yes, I wonder what safety regulations it failed that caused it to be stopped by the port. Thanks for the support!
@@nvr2curious Sanctioned Owner maybe?
Captain cabin smelt like fish so he quit and left the ship abandons. Pirates then threaten the crew who ran away.
