While the ones wearing all the glitter and expensive clothes, show up on Sundays and scoff at those dressed simply…..God frowns upon those judgmental people. They are no better than anyone else. I would run as far away from a church like that as I could.

@KatInTheNorth I know quite a few of those people who attend this church and they are really good people and do God's work and quite a few people who dress to the hilt and are quite, not only pretentious but are pure hypocrites. Just because you go to church doesn't make you a good and honest person.

This has been pressing on my heart & in my mind for quite awhile and I felt I needed to share it. I agree with your thoughts on this and it’s truly sad. It’s quite likely that we won’t find a church, after what we have seen. But, I read and study and there are just a few I like to visit here online. None of us are perfect (even those behind the pulpit - I mean no disrespect), but at my age, I’ve seen a lot over the years. Some people worship the preachers, pope, etc. Not gonna happen with me. But, that’s just my belief. I feel bad for your friend, and I sure do understand ❤️

@@ArielleViking Thank you so much for sharing Arielle. There really are many churches that are non-biblical sad😕 I’m so sorry for the experiences you’ve run into as well. Several days ago I reached out to our local church, as I had some questions to ask but I’ve not heard a word back from them (it was one of the places we had thought about attending). Actually I contacted them twice, and no response. I understand how you feel. Times are getting more difficult everywhere. Please take god care, and God Bless you ❤️🙏❤️

@@mafirearmsafety Thank you for sharing those wonderful memories of the cabin in Ashland. Those were the days! Growing up in the 1960’s, I always loved going to camp. We had clean, clear, icy cold drinking water that we would fetch at the spring (just a short walk down a path), no electricity, or plumbing. The old camp had a great set-up. No traffic going by, and so peaceful. I don’t know if you saw all the videos in the series I did of the hunting camp, but in one of those video’s I shared clips of the camp members building it, just after the 1947 fires here in Southern Maine. All the pictures/clips you see in the videos were taken from old slides I received a few years back. I’m so glad you enjoyed. Hang on to those wonderful memories of the cabin, and thank you for watching & commenting.

I think any church that digs deep into politics is a great way to turn believers away, whether they are churches believing from the left side or the right side. There’s too much hatred out there from all sides. We know what the Bible says about many things that are going on in the world these days. It is up to the people as to whether they want to believe it or turn a blind eye. God Bless you 🕊️

@@elflordsjourneys Thank you James, and I agree that it will become more difficult as time goes on 😕 I believe communion should be open to all believers (we’ve both been saved), who strive to better themselves everyday in the Lord. I care very much for the people I speak of, but am saddened that they have no open communion for other believers. We aren’t strangers to these people, and they invite us to other gatherings, but not communion. We are told we can’t participate because we are not church members, but that we can sit back and watch. These churches have their own rules and regulations but when they exclude other believers, I don’t believe that’s biblical. Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts. Honestly, when I was told that we could not participate, but could sit back and watch, it really upset me because the person who told me this is a “higher up” in the church, and the person knows me well and we have been studying for quite some time. But the church policy they made doesn’t allow it. I’ve studied this extensively and I’m not on board with these “man made” policies that the churches make. They are judging other Christian believers. They are excluding other Christians. The Lord frowns upon that. I’m sorry you haven’t found a church yet, and hope you have better experiences than we have. @@Bmg009 Thank you Dan. Yes, none of them are with us anymore, sadly. But, their offspring are, (i’m one of them). When these men were living and enjoying/living life, they created memories (we all can create good memories as well). They used to share their memories & reminisce. I remember hearing some of those memories. I remember the camp during family visits too, back in the 1960’s & 1970’s. The camp still stands with a new generation of members. Inside the camp looks much the same as it did then (no modern updates, just “upkeep”). I am thankful that with today’s technology, I was able to put these videos together, to keep their memories alive, and to share with those like you, whom appreciate it. @ absolutely. Thank goodness people like you share your family’s stories and history for us all to appreciate. Hearing the camp is still there and being used really puts it all together. I always say I wish I was born back then, but in reality I guess we’re truly blessed have the best of both worlds with today’s technology and the freedom to escape into the past to camps such as this one. I’m sure all of those guys would be extra proud that their legacy is still being lived yearly like it was then. I can’t think of a better way to honor someone no longer with us.
