Keeping the hand in is very instructive for younger players who haven't had much experience listening to people describe a hand when there are no hand records the way it used to be done in the bars after the game or at Denny's for the non-drinkers.

I would recommend all bridge players, who want to improve their game, to take a look at Gavin's master series. There are not many teachers who teach advanced bridge bidding techniques. His lessons contain much more than the bidding. You will become much better at evaluating the cards and the real playing strength of the hand in a sound style.
