My name is Guillaume, French Canadian originally from the beautiful city of Quebec City.
In April 2017 I decided to quit a stable job that came with good benefits and a very decent paycheque every week. I was just tired of that TRAFFIC-WORK-TRAFFIC routine and needed to try something else. That led me to my first big backpacking trip bound to... INDIA! That was really something. I learned a lot about people, cultures, the world and of course about myself.
I haven't stopped looking for adventures and ways to discover the world since then, except of course, during the pandemic. But guess what? Now we're back my friends and I have nothing but exciting travel plans coming in the near future!

Road Trippin' Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 In a TukTuk
I rented a Tuktuk in Sri Lanka for a week and let me tell you this... That was A LOT of fun!! Not only did it give me the freedom to do more and go pretty much wherever I wanted to but it was also an amazing experience.
I'll remember the looks I got from local people when they thought I was a taxi driver. As I was getting closer I could see their faces gradually changing with this obvious question on their foreheads... What's this foreigner doing driving a TukTuk??!!

Drone shots taken on the Pekoe Trail in Sri Lanka in June 2024. I hiked the first 16 stages from Kandy to Demadora . A 250 kilometre journey that took me 12 days but could have easily be done in 10. I didn't really know what to expect as this trail is fairly new so I decided to just take my time and not rush it. The rice fields were in stage 4 and the rest was mostly in stage 6. Stages 4 and 5 weren't my favorite stages since about 90% of the trail is on public roads. It is approximately 16 KMS and the elevation gain is more or less 700 meters.
