Trying to separate the MC5 from politics makes no sense whatsoever. They literally lived through the'68 riot in Detroit. Faced the wrath of Nixon and local, state and Federal law authorities because of an antiwar stance. You best believe Jerry Wexler and Ahmet Ertegun at Atlantic got the message loud and clear -do not promote this band. Did the MC5 do plenty of dumbass things to hurt their career goals? Fuck Hudsons they sure did! But it's a tad late to separate the politics. For better or worse it's part of their legacy and they paid the price.

Looks like Ramsey to me.... Only he's way older than the last time I saw him live, drumming for Sourvein in 2008 (Virginia Beach). Dave, Dave's cousin Troy and Ramsey been playing in circles since way back. You can even catch them on Jerry Springer in a staged fight which is funny as hell. Footage is probably floating around out here in cyber space somewhere. So yeah, I may be wrong but I'd almost bet a finger it's Ramsey. I'd love to see these guys down here in Georgia sometime soon. AUGUSTA...home of James Brown ....and a Weedeater show soon hopefully. There's a record store with a full stage set up downtown "Grantski Records". The kid that owns it is a huge doom metal fan and plays in a band himself. Thoughts?
