Haha! I would like to visit Italy and try your special food! One food that I think is a mixed bag for many people is ”bruna bönor” (it has an refined taste). But its usually served with things like sausage I think. Grazie for the video.

Just watched the other one and when you mentioned that you tried some proper Sill dish i felt like i manifested it into existance.

This was quite fun and i do understand some of the ratings as alot of Swedish food is quite off-mainstream and an aquired taste (Especially Salmiak). But eating fish just as is will ofcourse not be a 10/10 its like eating pasta with nothing else like you need potatos and sauces and stuff like that. I think Surströmming has given alot of people honestly a negetive view about Swedish food because they see our version of eating monkey brain and think its the norm but its not. We have alot of good Fish orianted dishes you can find recepies on ICA as a guide for what you look for which i think most people dont even look for since they hear about Surströmming.

I like your video and I was surprised by the relative good reviews you had :D But I think you should have done a little homework....imagine if I where to test Italian food. But I ate pesto directly from the yar. Or putting ketchup and mustard on the Ribollita. Or butter (or Kaviar) on Prosciutto di Parma - im sure you guys would have tips on better and more developed and well tried taste combinations 😊 (I know barely anything about Italian food, so Ive just copied/pasted some stuff, but you get the idea). ❤

I'd like to see a remake of the video - but where you try the foods the correct way. If nothing else as an interesting contrast point (maybe clip in the old video to discuss the different experience in trying them wrong and right?)

As a swede I'll be the first to admit our cuisine is a very mixed bag with lots of acquired tastes that probably won't resonate well with most outsiders or win a lot of culinary prices internationally, there are definitely better kitchens out there, italian one included 😄was great seeing you guys giving it a shot with an open mind though, we can't all like everything.

I think that a great deal of those "haters" are just having a laugh. Especially the one threatening to break pasta before boiling it.

The odd thing when people try food from different countries, is they try it without context. You eat them with things. Not alone as they are. It's like eating a spoon of mustard. You don't do that, you eat it with something. Like herring, you eat it with summer potatoes, chives and sour cream for example. Same with knäckebröd, you always have butter on it, often cucumber as well or cheese. Just to name a few examples. Otherwise good, you were respectful!

I could definitely enjoy living in a place like that. So beautiful.

I liked that video.. becuse it was kinda taste reaction, on swedish food with acquired taste. In a case of testing other weird food.. try swedish pizza, Kebab pizza, pineaple pizza and banana-curry pizza! And dont try surströming without a friend that know how to do it properly!

Why does everyone test salty "Djungelvrål" they are eaten by max 2% of the population the same with Surströming.

Liver pate without cucumber? "Swedish Pickled Cucumber".

I always mix the liver paté with butter on my sandwiches. And sometimes with sliced boiled eggs on them also.

The fish should be eaten with cooked potatoes sour cream and chives , caviar eat it with hard boiled egg on a buttered dark slice of bread!

Even tho this video should be for fun it’s very insulting for Swedish people that our food is seen as disgusting. It’s part of our heritage. I personally don’t like some foods from Italy but I would never call it disgusting.

Risifrutti isn't a desert though😊 and the peanut rings are just a snack. Herring is not to be eaten by itself, but with fresh potatoes. You can't have one without the other! That's not fair to the herring. And the kaviar needs to be eaten with eggs.

Its a little bit unfair to serve some of the things with nothing added to it. The herring for example would probably be better with sourcream and potatoes added. I wouldnt want to rate Pasta Carbonara without guanciale and egg :D
