To me the moving ending seems more like a good ending than just bad in terms of “Its safer that way” because Nicole just went to the worst school ever from students who are extremely weird and vile, the teachers who are secretly white supremacist and the staff who are pedophiles and even if you tell the principal she doesn’t care because she states in the adulthood ending that she never took action at the staff for their predatory behavior. And just today some student name crispin literally was playing the nice guy act just to send her a picture of his 🍆, so for Nicole to drop out and start moving away again was better that way because she at least doesn’t have to put with the school’s Shenanigans.
