I love that you are listening to FOX News. Go Trump
Hi Cyndi. This is Lori McGinnis and I buy from your Etsy store all the time, but wanted to actually look up your website and I’m so glad I did. You all are wonderful. I can’t believe all the helpful things on your website. I have two rare diseases that I got when I was 37 years old. I went through many treatments and all kinds of things and I’m 51 now. I have always repurposed things in my own house and my parents were homebuilders, so I always love decor, but my health got to me too bad until I’m at home most of the time. About a year ago, I decided to start crafting and repurposing and up cycling things and it has changed my life and giving me something to actually enjoy. I’m trying to learn all the new and all the new products which I think I’ve been pretty well and has stocked up on so much I could probably make thousands of projects! Ha! Thank you for all the purchases I have made from your Etsy store and how fast you shipped things out. Now that I know how helpful you guys are, I may ask some questions. I’m so glad to have looked up your website and realize who I’ve been dealing with all this time. I hope to get to know you more. I will always be a continuous customer! ❤❤
Thank you for a great tutorial - so clear and helpful!🎉
Top Top Top
They are all lovely and can’t wait to order from you.
Well thank you!!
Yay a new use for all of my pippettes! Genius!
Yes!!
This was so helpful for a novice like me 🙏 Did you brush off the sanding dust after each passover and between each grit?
Yes! You want to get the dust off each time so you don't create sanding squiggles.
Very thorough, thank you! Do you ever use foam pads for detail sanding? Do you have a surface prep or festtool? I am deciding what sander to buy. I already have a square dewalt palm sander. DW411, is this good enough?😊
I'm contemplating getting a Festool or SurfPrep. Haven't decided!
That's so amazing!!
Isn't it!!??
Thank you! I learned a lot.
Dear Cindy, thank you for making such a great video tutorial. It was so easy to follow your instructions, you made everything very clear. The chest of drawers looked beautiful after you painted it and applied the Paint Inlay. You've inspired me to do the same thing on my bedside table. Love from Amanda Jones in Australia
Awww, thanks Amanda! Hope your project turns out amazing. Would love to see pics when you finish!
must you wipe off the odorless solvent before the stain?
No. The odorless solvent deactivates and removes the stripper. It also is a way to ensure even sanding before staining. It acts as a slip coat so you can stain right over it.
what if my cherry cabinets have polyurethane on them? Do I clean with tsp and then sanding is necessary, correct?
Clean with TSP is all you need!
i have a few spots where the cherry veneer has peeled off so do I need to glue veneer paper on those areas? Also, I can see some streaks from the polyurethane that is currently on the cabinets, should I scuff sand those areas only? Can I just buy tsp from hardware store or is Fusion's made differently? Which Fusion Gel Stain color would you recommend for over my cherry cabinets to get the orange color out?
Yes, you'll need to repair the veneer or the void will show when you stain. Hard to say about the streaks in the poly without seeing it. You can buy TSP from the hardware store. It's more toxic and will need to be rinsed off. As for color, it depends on the look you want. The Black gel stain is quite sheer and you can build up color with repeated coats. The Double Espresso is more opaque so one coat gets great, dark brown coverage. It's the color I used in the video. Two coats almost look painted.@@shannonlydon6000
They're stunning ❤. 🎉🎉🎉
Wow,very nice 😊

Just wonderful knowing this tecnic I didn't have an idea about those papers thank you

Do you have the name of the brush you used?

@@cyndismith6397 thank you!
I really enjoyed this tutorial and the way you explained the steps. Thank you
Thank you! I hope it is helpful!
Beautiful Cyndi ❤ You answered so many questions during the process of the video. Well done - new subscriber 👍🏼😃
You're the BEST, Susie!
You did a perfect job of breaking down the information. Very Informative.
Is this Fusion's gel stain?
No, this is prepping for Fusion’s Stain and Finishing Oil. The Gel stain does not need to be applied to raw wood.
Hi Cindy..awesome video. So even if there is a finish on the wood there’s no need to sand that off? Also what kind of top coat would you recommend?
Yes! It's designed to adhere to the current finish. Just clean well first. No top coat needed! It's built in. Fusion calls it their "dance on the tabletop" finish!
You did a great job!
Thanks so much!
Wish this was a bigger screen
Thanks for the feedback!
Okay. Several questions. How bendable are they? Do you heat them to bend? Can you glue them to a surface and then paint? Inquiring minds would like to know. Thank you.
No need to heat. They’re flexible and can confirm to curved drawer fronts or table skirts. You can glue on, then paint and wax or glaze to highlight the details, too! I painted these first and then glued on. It’s another option.

Well thanks!!
Hello new friend here I'm watching
I appreciate you watching!!
Thanks for sharing! Beautiful work! What kind of clay did you use?
I used IOD’s Air Dry clay!
Nice upload thanks 👍👍
I have a dining table I bought from Pier One I believe and the edges have started to peel off. So I believe the edges are veneer. I was going to remove the edges and use wood putty on edges. Then sand the top lightly and paint with exterior paint to use under a lanai. Is this a bad idea?
No, not at all. I would use Bondo instead of wood putty. It is easier to apply (you have to work quickly) and it doesn't shrink. Other than that, I'd prime before you paint so that you have a consistent surface to paint on.
really beautiful!
Thank you!!
Nice ❤️ How to make clay Snuppy magnet
Wow
If your top was veneer, would you still use all 4 grits and sand as long?
Yes! I just did that on a piece yesterday. Just be careful around the edges.
You took a cheap pumpkin and turned it into something worth SO much more! they turned out beautifully!
awww, thank you!!
