Yes. I have been corrected a few times now. 😁 Thank you for the info.
Very cool ride! Can I ask, what angle are your rear spring plates at when its sitting on the ground? I'm trying to determine if I'm set too high on my Baja because I have rumbling CVD's when going around corners on long gradual turns at speed.
Thank you for the compliment! I am not sure and I’ll check when I get home. I do know my axle angle (off the ground) is 24 degrees. That’s only possible due to having 930 CV joints. I will reply with the exact angle after I check it later tonight.
Hello, maybe you've already answered this question. What was your trick to have such a high lift but yet you still prevented your rear wheels from positive camber? Is there a height limit you would recommend? Thanks!
I am running 3x3 trailing arms, Porsche 930 CV joints as well as a bumped up torsion. The longer trailing arms give it lift and longer travel.
Can you send me pictures of your shock mounts ? I need to fabricate something similar for coilover mounts on my Baja
Of course! Shoot me an email at 69bajaoutdoors@gmail.com and I’ll be happy to help out!
Nicely done!
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed the video!
Are those available for type 3
If you are referring to the disc brake conversion, that I am not sure of. I purchased this 4 wheel disc brake kit about 10 years ago from a buddy that never used it. I do know it is a CB Performance kit.
@@69bajaoutdoors sorry I didn’t specify I was asking about the eccentrics
@@reinaldorivera4158 I’ve never owned a type 3 so I honestly don’t know if they are even adjustable. I’ll have to research it and see if I can find an answer for you. Wish I had the info you’re looking for.
You don't have anyone up there with a ball joint press.? How is your knee?
The knee is getting better every day. The only issue I have is pressing out the lower ball joints. I can remove and replace the uppers, install the lowers without issues in my press.
What a brilliant buggy.
Thank you so much!!!
There are 23 fishing points on Salmon River.🥰
Killer cat
Do they have to sting with every bite
I was watching them for quite some time. Although it may look like it, the stinger is not being used. Im assuming they do this movement for balance.
As easier life may not exist!!!

First time seeing someone build a wider beam. 😎👍
Yes sir! This is the second one I’ve tackled. Still a long way to go though.
Awesome! It was raining here, couldn't see anything.
Sorry to hear that! It wasn’t spectacular but it was cool to see! Thank you for commenting!
Why would you want to fish around that many people
It wasn’t that tight where we were. Funny part is that people were fishing into the river when the salmon were behind them hugging the bank.
@69bajaoutdoors I live 10 min from there so I know the craziness, I just don't think it's worth fishing shoulder to shoulder. Fishing is meant to be quiet and solitary
@@jman1989 While I do agree that fishing should be quiet and solitary, I don’t know of any place in NY where someone could fish during the salmon run and not run into a crowd. I’ve fished Burt Dam, Oak Orchard and 13 mile creek. I know there are other spots however, it’s a 6 hour drive for me so I usually go where I know there are fish.
Just saw the Baja at Walgreens had to subscribe sweet ride!!!
LOL! That’s awesome! Thank you so much!

I say try the 18 pass thank you for the video it brings validity to the modifications i am attempting to make to the evaporator out of a wall mount ac unit into a transmission cooler for my 96 Chrysler
Do you need to loosen the balljoint nut or can you just adjust the camber and it be set. This is the first time ive needed to do this since i convert to disc fronts and all new balljoints and everything.
Yes, you need to loosen the ball joint nut to adjust it.

If you can't fix the over heating issue. Maybe it time to upgrade to a Subaru powertrain.
Possibly. But that would be quite some time down the road.
Diesel engine
@@glenfdoss I had thought of throwing a TDI in it to keep it VW. 😎
@@69bajaoutdoorsyou should try using E85, it runs cooler and you don't have to do a tune on Porsche engines. 110 octane. Had a 2012 Chrysler flex fuel. Cheaper too.
@@johngillespie3409 I will absolutely look into that! Thank you for the info!
Such a cool ride.
Thank you sir!
Got a question. I know this probably premature but how much rotation are you putting the adjusters from the original position? Up / down? I've heard 3/8 1/2 in 5/8 of rotation from original position. To get more rotation out of lift. If that makes sense? Thank you
Thank you for the inquiry. I am honestly not sure just yet. I’m not adding the adjusters for more lift as Mud Cricket has 3” lift spindles already. My current beam has four individual spring packs and one side is drooping about an inch. I replaced the spring packs on the drivers side to raise it to match the passenger side but that did not change the ride height. It was still drooping an inch. That said, the purpose of the new adjustable beam is to even that issue out, not necessarily to lift the Baja. So, I’ll probably set them at the stock location (or a bit less) with full lift capability. But I honestly won’t know until I install the new ball joints to find full travel specs. I’m thinking about adding hook and rod stops as well.
I’m taking notes!
I recorded that like 12 times. I hope I explained it where it is comprehensive.
@@69bajaoutdoors if I could understand it then anyone should be able to 😂
😂 Roger that. 😎
