As another man in a similar situation I gotta tell you this is capitalist brainwashing. Every single company out there is trying to figure out how to transition you from a single-time purchase into a buying their “subscription service” where they are fighting for a consistent X% of your paycheck. They use every tactic possible to keep you coming back, think of how much easier it is to do the wrong thing vs doing the right thing. You need to pattern up and reverse that psychology for your daughter who you don’t want relying on McDonald’s in her teenage/adult life

Outside of regular physicals and my OB appointments for my pregnancy, I don’t bother going to the doctor anymore. Any concern I ever have gets dismissed automatically without any tests or even concern. Just “it’s probably normal”
