Probably no is the best movie accurate voice box mod. move over Devine child
I made a Woody voice box like this from a 1970s GI Joe. It’s neat but I can’t recommend anyone else create a Woody voice box from an old pull string toy. My trial and error of destroying a fair share of little record player pull strings just to get one that lasted was heartbreaking for me considering how rare and cool these functional toys are. The process was also expensive, time consuming, and wasteful. If a lotta Toy Story custom-toy fans are inspired by this video, it’ll be sad when a number of these cool functional vintage pull string toys for-sale online get destroyed by kids trying to create their own woody voice box, ultimately for most attempts to be unsuccessful. Unfortunately, these old pull string toys were not meant to be operated on lol. I’m glad you got yours working to a point where you are satisfied, but I really can’t recommend anyone else try this. Every pullstring toy is unique, and in my experience it’s necessary to purchase at least a few of the same pull string toy just to figure out exactly how to customize it in a manner that will allow the final draft to last more than a few dozen pulls. I needed to take measures that accounted for common issues that could easily plague the design. The fact that the device needed to be sewn into a doll created the need for it to work flawlessly for years without me having to tear open the doll each time it malfunctioned. It was exhausting and required more than a modest budget. These voice boxes worked against me every step of the way, and each one had its own quirks (even when I had duplicates of the exact same doll).
@@rileyweston236 im sorry to hear you had so many problems. but you are absolutely right children should NOT be dissecting these. the trial and error on these vintage boxes are immaculate, they are way too delicate, thats why i made the video for older audiences. maybe ill make a more detailed video with an actual tutorial part so people dont have many problems like us.

no. custom vinyl records can't be made in a way that will work in a toy voicebox. normal records dont have parallel grooves and besides this is how normal ones are made: ruclips.net/video/Yd2SW-Fys6I/видео.html

Trying to make a fully accurate voice box for woody and not have it battery powered as thats how it is in the films
@@Crystalll_0729 we sadly cannot do it theres no way to make custom vinyl records that are half an inch.
