I was there last year. Not a 1 star for sure. 3 star would be fair. We had a great time. Rooms were clean and spacious. A little outdated. The resort as a whole was clean. Beach was very good. Main pool was always fun. Evening entertainment was decent. Staff was very nice. Bars were always hopping. This is not a relaxing type of resort. Come here with the intent to have fun. The biggest knock would be the food for me. Turistico can be expensive. Always haggle.

Does playabachata have dancers that dance with guests during the evenings? And do any dancers come to the club to dance with guests?

Read the one star review's on trip adviser. I've been there and they are all true. This place is a dump.

How is the food and are the rooms clean?Did you also have full access to the hotel next door senator puerto plata?Overall do you think that the place is beautiful and safe?

Great video. Please tell me this. I have knee issues and going up and down stairs is a problem wirh me. Does this resort have facilities in place (elevators, ramps, golf carts etc) to help me get everywhere I might want to go? (ie: from room to restaurants, beach, pool etc..) Thanks so much, Steve S.

Hi, just wondering if you were really happy with your experience there. The safety, the staff, the rooms, the cleanliness, the food you know.. the usual. I’d like to get feedback from people who were just there. I have a young adult daughter and her girlfriends who want to go they don’t wanna party hard. They just want a nice place that they can afford. Any insight would be really appreciated thank you. Really liked your video. Very helpful. Ps Did you go in early summer? My daughter is looking at mid February.

I recently visited Playabachata Bahia de Maimon from August 16 to August 20, 2024, and it turned out to be one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve ever had.First, the condition of the rooms was absolutely unacceptable. The bed had noticeable stains, the walls had significant cracks, and worst of all, the room was infested with bed bugs and other insects. The shower was barely functional, and the presence of black mold was particularly alarming. This was especially concerning because two members of my family, including my son, have severe asthma, and exposing them to such an environment was extremely dangerous.The hotel did offer alternative rooms, but unfortunately, these rooms had the same issues-mold, insects, and general disrepair. Even the so-called “better suite” they offered was just as bad. The fact that they thought these accommodations were acceptable is beyond understanding. When I tried to address these issues with the hotel staff, they were unhelpful and dismissive. They suggested that I contact Expedia for a refund, but when Expedia reached out, the hotel refused to approve it, despite the clear and serious health risks we faced. This lack of accountability and care for their guests is unacceptable. I was forced to leave the hotel because it was simply unsafe for my family to stay there. It’s clear that the management is more interested in making excuses than actually providing a safe and comfortable environment for their guests. If you're considering staying at Playabachata, I strongly advise you to think twice. The misleading advertisements, the unsanitary room conditions, and the complete disregard for customer service make this hotel a place to avoid at all costs. Save yourself the stress, frustration, and potential health risks-book your stay somewhere else. ********************************************************************************** Recientemente visité Playabachata Bahía de Maimón del 16 al 20 de agosto de 2024, y resultó ser una de las experiencias hoteleras más decepcionantes que he tenido. Ahórrate el estrés, la frustración y los posibles riesgos para la salud: reserva tu estancia en otro lugar. Try something different...Horst Gasthaus in North Myrtle Beach. Best German cuisine this side of the Atlantic.

The Melting Pot. My wife and I love fondue. We made reservations at The Melting Pot. We were seated in windowless tiny room too cramped to breath in. We were served the worst fondue by far that I have ever had. Total waste of my time and money. The staff also needs training. Lots of training.
