At TexCIS Whereabouts Nac county were these wonderful people from? I was raised up in Appleby.
This has to be one of very few recorded appearances of Sonny Burns performing remaining to be found online. Shame that it's cut off at the end!
Sonny Burns on guitar??? Pretty sure it is, I'm a huge fan!!!
It's really kool to watch this because that's my dad in the yellow shirt , my mom on the piano and that's me playing guitar in the white pants . I can't believe how time has flown.
my uncle Van Kitchens married my mom's sister Jewel Winthrop !!!!!!!
I appreciate this music more than I did when I was a kid. Thanks for this memory of Hank, Juanita, and all the ranch hands.
I remember this well, growing up near Crockett, Tx in the 60's -- we could get ch 9 KTRE sometimes and then we got an outdoor antenna, and it came in all the time. TV was scarce in rural areas.
