Good morning! I desperately want to repot my new Hoya Rope for aesthetic purposes but I. AM. TERRIFIED. I cannot let anything happen to my sweet little Vera. She has one nice long strand, I'd say about about 9 or so inches. Looks to be a very healthy little girl ( she was a gift, so I'm not sure of any other details) . Do you think it's ok or should I wait? I'm in Ohio, it's dreary and dark. I do not yet have any rooted clips

How long on the Hoya Pubicalyx from 2 leafs to white pot? Did you fertilize at all?

Can I ask your opinion? I just got one today and on the outside it looks healthy, new growth for leaves n vines but I found root rot. What would you do? I did repot it in more chucky airy mix... but do you think even the slightest root rot is a chop n prop? Have you ever propped these babies?

I have a baby Compacta I bought from a local nursery. I have had her for about 2 months. When I first brought her home, she was about 4" and had 2 leaves forming on the tip, but they soon shriveled up and died... About 2 weeks ago, I saw 2 new leaves forming on the tip! After closer inspection, I saw about 3 new leaves popping out! She also looks like she is shooting out a new branch! Wish me luck!!

Had an elderly neighbor that had a small makeshift greenhouse in her backyard years ago. There was one plant inside. When I went into this little “shrine”, there was a very old Hoya that I’m sure was a Pubacalyx. Its stump was thick like a tree. I took a cutting and sprouted it but then it got lost during a move. The neighbor passed a few years later and always wondered whatever became of that ancient Hoya…

One last question, I may have missed it but do you let the cuttings callous over before placing in water?

Hi, thanks for the prop video. Question, after you potted the babies and placed on the gravel with the dome over it for a makeshift greenhouse, how long do you leave them like that? Do you let air circulate while it’s in the makeshift greenhouse every so often? I can understand why this is helpful I’m just wondering how long I would need to keep them like that and when I could allow them to grow on their own? Obviously it may vary depending on how the plant is growing I just didn’t know if you could recommend a general time period? Thanks!

Haha! I pronounce it POOb-la-cay-licks, but that's just because I don't want to be teased!! I just bought my first Publicalyx yesterday. I am so excited to see how she grows! Right now, she is in the 2" pot I purchased her in. I'll leave her until she needs a re-pot. I also snagged a Compacta.

Pagosa isn't a 60 day growing season. It's 90+. My inlaws have been growing all the regular things in a regular garden at 8200' for 15 years. They also have a greenhouse, but the majority of the food is grown outdoors.
