I have both a magnet and a demagnetizer for different situations. I've always had screwdrivers that weren't magnetized from the factory.

Regular screw drivers are for computers.

I learned this building pcs, came in handy when a motherboard standoff screw gets lost in the case. Note that this method equals a very poor magnetization and its easier to just use an actual magnet

It’s kinda like PC screwdriver kits strebito/IFIXIT they come with magnetizers and demagnatizers for the screw drivers and bits. Pretty cool.
