It's Mordred's aspect where he gets a reset of his dash on ability hit, at the cost of a bit damage and the knock-up of said dash. AFAIK most people play with him aspected than not, regardless of role.

Yeah I feel u bro dropped smite 1 at S9 partly due to that , best thing to do is mute all at start of game and focus on having fun, I hope u pick it up again and enjoy urself

There's so many good jungle starts right now, i haven't tried that one though. Just all depends where u want to focus early, I like to play around mid and try to get at least 1 neutral camp

Very much like the play by play style, played smite 1 so know pretty much how to play all the old gods, I tried Aladdin however I couldn’t seem to get him to flow for me, must’ve been doing lots of stuff wrong on him so a guide would be much appreciated

smite 1 is no longer going to be receiving updates but the servers will still be on at least for now. Smite 2 is still going strong and feels great, but a ton of devs got laid off yesterday which doesnt bode well for the game :(

Every one thinks that the layoffs are the last nail in the coffin. But it aint even close smite has now 80 dev that is more than enought for a "small game"' like smite and remember like 3 years ago there where like 300 or more ppl working in hirez idk how the fuck hi rez could pay that. It was more than obvious that there will be coming lay offs. but i still will miss smite 1 GGs.

Last hitting isn’t something you have to worry about that much, it gives more gold but it’s generally not enough to worry about. If you’re support it’s best to avoid last-hitting as you should have a support starter item (war flag or selflessness) which give bonus gold for getting assists, but if you accidentally last hit it’s very rare anyone will actually get mad at it as long as it’s not happening constantly. Also if you’re support and no allies are near (or are on the way, just clear the wave). You generally want to go for buffs/harpies between waves and always be doing something, the current map is very full of things to farm, smite 1 didn’t have this much, I’d expect they’ll tone it down a bit in future patches cause it feels kinda hard to keep on top of it all right now. As for when to roam and your other questions, those are kinda situational, I’d say there’s not much point checking out smite 1 stuff at this stage, instead just watch someone in your role play the game, lots of players from the smite 1 pro teams stream on twitch or make youtube videos now, fineokay was a pro solo player that makes lots of youtube vids and twitch streams and has been playing other roles lately too, haddix and nika are ex pro solo laners on twitch, adapting is on yt & twitch and is great to check out for jungle, screammmmm is another jg on twitch, inbowned on youtube or PBM on twitch are ex pro supports that are fun to watch, zapman is an adc that won worlds 3x and is on youtube & twitch, I don’t watch any mid laners but Bennyq, captaintwig and sheento are all on twitch and were smite 1 pro mid laners, loads more but those are off the top of my head. In general you tend to leave lane when there’s something to do in the jungle, you pretty much always want to get your buff between waves as soon as it’s up, or other camps, for support in particular, go where you think you can make a difference, if a lane looks lost with or without you it’s probs best to go somewhere else, if you have a winning lane that looks like it can get kills, play off that and look to get camps, objectives etc off that pressure, and be around for objectives, if it’s a good time to go for an objective or if you need to help your team defend or attack something. Stuff like that, can’t really be specific on this stuff cause it depends on your game, you’ll learn as you play and watching others who have more experience at the game is the best way to learn. As for items, to start with you can just use the recommended build or check out a website like smitesource.com which is run by weak3n, an ex pro jungler, that has builds for pretty much everything.

I know I am not the original video content creator but I can give some general advice. Top, or Solo lane in smite is usually played by bruiser/tanky gods to 1v1 the other enemy solo. You guys rush to clear the wave in order to get the camps near your lane, such as the skull looking camp, money camps, or your blue buff. You can even try to invade the enemies camps to prevent them from getting farm, so you can get ahead in gold and xp. You can try poking the other enemy god to force them to back up so that they cant contest you in lane, leaving them more vulnerable, and letting minions go under their tower is a great way to get ahead of the enemy god. I would say around 5-10 minute mark you can be sneaky and try to gank middle lane, or even the duo lane using your teleporters to help your team get additional kills, and to help them out if they are struggling against their lane. Late game, it becomes a wandering phase, where most teams are gathered close, trying to get gold fury, and fire giant, and also pick off anyone out of position. Keep up pressure and take out phoenixes to apply pressure from all sides, forcing the enemy team to have to separate to defend. Then 1 good team fight is all it will take to win the game. Good luck!

@ The fact that you are this focused on ranked arena and joust is concerning. Joust had a leaderboard, and it had tournaments. People didn't play them and people didn't watch them. I'm sure people have told you this time and time again, but you still keep repeating the same thing.

@@GamingDualities I have played this game since closed beta Smite 1. I have seen terrible hirez decisions, and I feel like I have a good understanding of how they operate. I see the issue you are talking about, and it's something I talk about a lot as well, but I think you are heavily misdiagnosing the issue. You keep repeating these same tired canned points, that I'm sure you've put a lot of thought into. Currently, the issue with Smite's disconnect of the casual playerbase (composed by a majority of console players) and the design philosophy of the game is not an issue with the developers, it's an issue with Smite's market position. Smite cannot pivot away from a MOBA otherwise it is competing with games like Marvel Rivals, and pissing off a player base of loyal fans in the process. Smite has found a very interesting niche as one of the still alive MOBAs, given that every other MOBA after League and DOTA apart from Smite died. The thing is, since the MOBA genre is no longer booming, Smite can only attract players that are not immediately familiar with the MOBA genre and type of game, since: 1 - The players that like MOBAs have seen Smite, have rejected it for one reason or another (usually Hirez' reputation) or are already invested in League or DOTA. There are very few players looking to get into a MOBA in 2025. Funnily enough this is a position League and DOTA are also in, League attracted hardly any players to the game with the show Arcane, even though it cost $250M. 2 - The main way Smite gets new players is from online storefronts like Steam or consoles, just because it is a free game. Very few people are looking for Smite because it is Smite, normally they just want something to play and Smite happens to appear. This results in a player base that is half overwhelmingly casual, and half extremely invested, with a game that has to be designed for competitive play. The issue isn't that Smite is badly designed, it's that newer players are overwhelmingly casual, and instead of putting effort into learning the game they demand changes to the game, like you are. This then conflicts with the competitive players who disregard the casuals for not taking the game seriously, creating a ton of toxicity. Smite cannot pivot suddenly into being a game focused on Joust or Arena, otherwise you piss off both sides of the player base. Likewise, Smite cannot suddenly stop being a MOBA, because the players that like the competitive part of the game are the most loyal to it, and the most invested. The casual players Smite gets normally aren't invested in the game in the long term, because well, they are casual. If anything this problem has to be solved by better leading casual players into becoming invested long term into the game (better new player resources, reduction in toxicity), instead of capitulating to them and making the game more casual. And trust me, there have been decisions they have made before, in an attempt to appease casual players (read "reddit") and they usually don't go that well. Oh yea, also, they have tried competitive Arena and Joust, and I've said this to you before. It fundamentally does not fucking work. Joust kinda does but it becomes a lot less interesting. Arena simply is not designed for competitive play, the most effective strategy in Arena is to stall. We tried having Arena tournaments in Season 2, and it hasn't changed. We had joust tournaments in Season 3, when the Chinese map dropped, but people were not interested, and this is also reinforced by the fact that Ranked Joust was not that popular (even though it was at one point the most played game mode by Ajax, the lead designer of the game). I'm pretty sure Hirez understands the position they are in, and you are completely underestimating the complexity of problem with your "just make joust and arena the focus 4Head" shit.
