Filmed 21st September 2024 The first tower of a ringing outing to the East Coast. Please excuse the striking here - some less experienced ringers were ringing in this and it was the only video I was able to get of the bells.

Bell Ringing at Wragby, West Yorkshire
hi dylan thank you for filming the church clock stuart mills halifax ringers
_that's so amazing!_
Nice little 5! I throughly enjoyed them.
I didn't think they were too bad.
@@DylanSmith_15I thought that felkirk were worse.
that's so amazing, sound really amazing!
as always LIKE!!
Remind me of Reigate.
Hi Dylan! In case your wondering I'm corey. This is just my second RUclips channel
Quite a small tower for a 12 they would have 2 levels.
Only 1 bell on a second tier

Ive rung here in August 2013 they are a nice 10 :)
Lovely sounding 12.
They are boss
awesome bell tower
Sounds a nice twelve.
These are strange but in a nice way😂
Great little set. Strange floor though👍
Remind me of Brixham. Good little clip👍
Is that a John norris rope on it? Or Avon?
Thank you, I've been wanting to hear what these sound like. I like them
Glad you like them, I thought they were nice.
the video about bells is so awesome, especially the great architecture of this church
Thank you! They've recently been restored, the ringing room is glorious.
@@DylanSmith_15 with the splendid and restored sound room you want to ring a perfect concert
I rang here in June on an outing
They are a Taylor 10 that were an 8 but with modern trebless. According to Dove they are being overhauled. No doubt Taylors will retune them to Simpson tuning. Another fine Taylor peal no doubt about that.
Restoration finished this year I think. Not the easiest peal of bells but I quite liked them.

awesome place!! LIKE

Good afternoon
Rung here in a weekend away in 1996 marvellous ground floor 10 and very easy to handle.
Stunning 8 but hard to ring well because of long draft
Pretty much my opinion, with a bit of work they would be even better.
@@DylanSmith_15 they really should move thr floor up imo make a new floor

CHURCH OF THE ASS NOONIES
Rung here in 1994 lovely light 6 did Flamborough too. My fave bells were Bridlington priory around there though but were hard to control because of draft and heavy weight.
Nice, did you get to record the mechanism, or just show it here?
Only show it here, no time to get a recording of it I'm afraid. Turns out it's a locally made clock.
@@DylanSmith_15 But, do motors power the chimes, or fly fans hidden in the image?
@@TB76Returns Yes the motors power it, there's no fly fans. Not sure of the reason for the unusual clock chimes though.
@@DylanSmith_15 Probably as it was locally built, does it have a date to it?
@@TB76Returns Date was 1936
Weird clock chimes here
Nothing like I've ever heard before.
@DylanSmith_15 but they sound nice though
Quite a decent little 6 from memory
I must revisit these at some point - they are a fab 8
I agree, not the easiest, but very rewarding when rung well.
These are lovely!
How was Whitby?
Was brilliant.
@@DylanSmith_15 splendid
These were very nice bells id definitely go again but the only problem i think is that they were to loud
These bells are really great to listen to
Yours truly on the tenor ;)
Never would've guessed!
I think ringing a quarter on 3 bells would be monotonous. I find 3 and 4s rapther sad in a way.
Is the 4th still one of the most oddstruck bells ever? I saw on a video the bloke was ringing in 3rds place and it was still slow
Yep, I rang it to the quarter as well!

I thoroughly enjoyed calling this lol
Was a nice touch, although personally I think the one on the back eight at Marsden was better.
The one at Heptonstall was the cherry on top - and would’ve been even better if I wasn’t shattered and cocked up the change into Stedman 🤦♂️
They go alright I guess
I've rung on worse I must say.
I've heard these are oddstruck and hard to ring up right.
They bloody well are! Sound brilliant though.
Not easy to ring at all and sadly hardly rung - but still well worth the effort
Bells sound lovely
This is Marsden, not Barrow
Sorry I don't get why you've mentioned Barrow?
@@DylanSmith_15 i am saying the bells sound lovely and i dont know why people dont know why i mention barrow all i was saying is a different way of saying i might not be ringing much this month i can remove the barrow bit if you want
@@DylanSmith_15 i have removed the barrow bit
Try get some pics of the mechanism and info of the chimes when you go.
2# G
Unusual clock chimes, might you get to see or hear the mechanism
Possibly, I'm ringing at Scarborough on the 21st September so will see.
@@DylanSmith_15 Ask them, and see if you can
